Hi everyone! I have suffered with depression all my life. I also have a learning disability called "Dyslexia" which prevents me from getting a job. For me dyslexia affects, my memory and spelling of words. On the other hand, I held down just three seasonal jobs( from 3 weeks, 3 months and 4 months). I have gotten good feedback from all the my supervisors.
Now, I am at home jobless and miserable with my unsupportive adopted parents. I want to move out of their house but I have no capital to do so. I am very unhappy were I am living but grateful that they provided for my materials needs.

Hello 'Dreamer', welcome to this community. Take a look at the links I've posted below with more information regarding managing dyslexia as an adult and work in UK. If you live outside the UK, I'm sure there will be corresponding support and advice provision.
Dyslexia does not have to prevent you from employment, and within the UK, you are protected under The Equalities Act 2010 and previously the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Employers are legally bound not to discriminate due to disability and to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to work in any field. It may require more planning and thinking through what help and support you need. If you have not had a formal diagnosis look at the above links for how to be assessed, and how to access the help you need. Also, you may find it helpful to talk to a disability advisor at your local jobcentre, who may have some useful suggestions. Hopefully other users on this forum will share what has been helpful for them. Don't despair, help is out there.
If in U.K. some councils help with a deposit (it's given as a guarantee for private rent) that was a couple of years ago but it might be worth looking at - I will need to find a rental that is covered by housing benefit and takes DSS. You should apply for housing through council etc as you may have to wait a long time but if your names not down you won't get anywhere. Make an appmt with CAB for housing help and doing forms.
Check out any voluntary work or charities that support retraining- your job center might have information
