Just need to let off steam. I was watching casualty tonight and just broke down in tears. I have so much to cope with. Multiple serious medical conditions, pain, financial worries, family problems, sleep deprivation, anxiety, stress and an injured puppy.
Trying to calm down, but the tears just won't stop.

Outside of the injured puppy, your list of problems looks like mine, but that won't help you right now. I had a meltdown for totally different reasons last Monday morning. Sometimes you just need to cry/scream/whatever to let out all the stress and then figure out what to do next. Nothing wrong with that, just don't let it overtake you. I call it a 'pity party' and I can do it for a few hours or so. Then I need to wash my face and call a friend or something. The next day always looks better. And sometimes I find my friends are going through similar things and are just too private to talk about them.
See what works for you and find someone you can talk to. And don't look at all your problems in a big huge ball like that. Figure out what you can tackle 1st and do that. One by one.
It sounds like you've got so much going on at the moment. Do you have people who you can reach out to for help?
It's good to get things off your chest, and doing so on this forum is definitely a healthy way of doing it. You can tell us as much or as little as you want. The more we know, the more relevant and targeted our suggestions and support can be.
Crying can help release the pent up feeling, or at least it does for me. It sounds like you could do with breaking things down instead of feeling like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.
When you say multiple serious conditions, are they all treatable? Are you doing what you need to in order to look after yourself? I'm awful at forgetting my inhalers until it's too late, but now I've incorporated taking it into my nightly routine.
Is the pain physical or mental? Is it attached to your medical conditions? Are you on pain management? Can you do anything to help alleviate it, such as swimming?
Family problems: are they fixable? Are they temporary? I don't think there is a single person out there who wishes things in their family were better. I wish my in laws were still alive. I wish my brother didn't live on the other side of the world, I wish my Uncles weren't colossal XXXXs.
Is the sleep deprivation due to the worry, the pain or the health conditions? Could you do anything to adjust your sleeping pattern to help?
Sorry about the injured puppy. My dog is my fur baby, so I imagine you are going through a tough time with them at the moment.
one of my conditions us a very rare autoimmune disease Tha is degenerative with no cure. It isn't managed very well as treatment isn't working. I am waiting to see if can get funding for an expensive drug that works to settle things down.
family problems, they all come to me with and I have no one to go to with mine.
I just found out Tha I have been overpaid by work for last few months. I don't get regular wage slips. I have to ask and get them twice a year. Now worried I will spend next 6 months with no wage and benefits stopped because of this.
I am also due to go away in a month and am worried about my health and puppy. I have paid an extortionate amount of money for insurance that keeps increasing in price, it us going to bankrupt me.
I can only do a few hours of work as am am too ill to do anymore. I am finding too much work being left for me and everyone else not doing much. I am very stressed out.
sleeping is difficult due t using a breathing machine and because have so much to deal with I don't go to sleep til very late and get up very early. I am getting 4-6 hours sleep a night.
I live with my mum, but she is too wrapped up in herself to bother or care about me and my problems.
I'm really sorry to hear about the disease you have. That must be really tough. Are there any support groups for people with the same condition? Like this forum, they might be able to provide tips that they've discovered help them.
You could start a crowd funding campaign for the drugs. It's lovely tube comforted by the kindness of strangers. Do you live in the UK? Can it not be covered on the NHS?
Family- tell them that you are not in the right place to help at the moment. We caring individuals don't half get taken advantage of. You need to put your foot down. Or else, agree to a quid pro quo deal.
That's shocking that you don't get regular wage slips-is that legal? Do you do online banking? If not,it would be worth it so that you can keep track of your money. It might be worth asking work if you can come to an arrangement in relation to paying it back over time. I'm pretty sure they can't deduct the whole amount? There are others who would be able to answer this better than I can. You could go to the Citizens Advice Bureau.
The only thing you can ever do is your best, and as long as that is what you are doing in work, you are beyond reproach.
Could you sleep in a different position? Could you listen to music to drown out the sound of the machine? Could you get a different mask that helps? Could you nap during the day to catch up on your sleep?
It's a shame about your Mum. Have you tried to talk about it with her?
Hi Clare, hope you don't mind me messaging you? Your message caught my attention because you say you use a breathing machine with masks., is this because you suffer with Sleep Apnea? I have Sleep Apnea and struggle with my masks. I have 2, an over the mouth and nose which moves around and disturbs my sleep and a full face/head mask that hurts after a few days, so I get very little sleep too 😞
My CPAP machine is for severe lung conditions which have caused my airways to collapse, which happens when I go to sleep lying down, if i'm ill or exercise.
Which masks do you use?
I alternate between a swift fx nasal mask and chin strap and a full face mask resmed quattro air. I find a specially designed CPAP pillow helped a little by allowing you to turn on your side and not dislodging the mask. I would talk to your sleep team about the problems you are having and see if you can try a different mask.
My over the nose and mouth mask is a ResMed AirFit F10 and my full face mask is a ResMed Mirage Quattro. I've now been referred back to the hospital for a trial of a nasal mask.
