You say you have been sleeping a lot maybe your body is not getting enough exercise hence the aches and pains. It sounds like you have some deep rooted issues going on that you have not come to terms with as you say you have tried to committ suicide. I would advise you go speak to your GP about this.

I've been there, and its awful.......and its easier said than done to just go see someone and discuss stuff....I truly truly understand what your going through, IM NOT SAYING BY ANY MEANS TO IGNORE YOUR problem....SEEK HELP please, just remember we all have issues that sneak up on us, that we didn't even realize was an issue. Its nothing to be ashamed of or hard on yourself......god bless and stay strong.

Thanks so much for the replies guys. I Appreciate it. I see a CPN on a weekly basis and also a psychiatrist. I just feel the meds i take are no longer helping and the doctors are not taking things seriously. Its an ongoing problem.

Hey please don't do anything to harm yourself, I used to feel like this after major changes in my life took place I just used to sleep too much and that's what causes aches and pains. If you can possibly manage to go out for a brisk walk for an hour a day I promise you that you will feel better and be able to beat off the blues . I know very well that just even trying to make the effort to go for a walk can be extremely difficult when you feel so low but don't think about doing it just go. if you have an iPod play your favourite music while you walk that will also help

Hey eve white i find it very difficult to leave the house i so wish i could. I get extremely anxious and agitated.

in reply to Trueblue87

I understand, that is a great shame, but you can over come that horrible anxious feeling you would be surprised how many people who feel as you do, a friend of mine had a time just like that and she forced herself to walk out of her home and down the street and guess what nothing bad happened. What I am trying to say is no body would be aware of how she was feeling so there really is nothing to fear about leaving the house. I hope that helps you a bit. Thing is the longer you stay in the worse the agitation will become, try and set yourself small goals and gradually build up until you feel more at ease . I so wish I could help you.

Hello Trueblue. Everything you describe is pretty typical of depression except maybe the aches and pains. If you've attempted suicide several times you are not getting the help you should be getting although this may be partly your fault as there are organisations ,like the Samaritans , you should be contacting if you feel suicidal.

I'm pretty sure that your GP ,the CPN and the psychiatrist will be taking things seriously ,several unsuccessful suicide attempts indicates a pretty serious cry for help , but there is no magic wand available to any of them to instantly pull you out of a low point.

I would make sure that both your CPN and psychiatrist know that you feel the meds. you take are no longer helping and if you can't convince one of them at least then you should go back to your GP.

If you start to feel suicidal again then tell your CPN and psychiatrist and if it comes upon you suddenly contact the Samaritans. Your CPN and psychiatrist will have either the Samaritans or similar organisations' contact number.

It is just awful! I have had it for a year and it's an effort to do anything as you feel what is the point? Does it matter? It is about having a sense of purpose. A colleague of mine says Find the solution, not the Problem at work. I started to think this saying and over a six month period i have made a difference in myself, but it is NOT easy, but stick with it. When do you sleep? In the day or weekends? I could go at a drop of a hat, but I started having shallow baths to get rid of the aches, taking multi vitamins and carring a cloth and just wiping around to get me moving again. In order to get my social life back on track I have joined the WI and I am the youngest member. I asked for no commitment and just to mix. As once a month I was able to get geared up for it as even that is an effort, although getting better. I thought along the same lines as you every day driving to work and it's a dark place. I found the energy to change jobs, that has had a finically worse off but I am starting to feel like me again. You have lost you and this why you are how you are. So start a slow first chapter see if any free groups around, get some multi vitamin tablets, grab a cloth. I am still struggling even whilst writing this, but I am now in control and when I have my low days I do not beat myself up about it. It's about finding you again, Good Luck.
