I have to change dosage and/or change my meds from time to time.... Sometimes it takes time to find a combination that works and that is difficult.... but my doctor has always found something that works... I am sixty-two and am doing better than I have in years.

Don't give up....

Best Wishes, Tamra

I felt exactly the same for years and still do sometimes.. fluoxetine helped me and meditation ( only suggestion from the doc which i tried as it took no effort plenty vids online etc.) I must be feeling better because i have started running which helps more. For me i think it was having time for myself to just do nothing and not have the guilt etc which made the difference and let me see what I needed to do to feel better. Keep going and it will get easier.

I do feel for you. I also have bi polar but can function fine, I was even self employed, although now retired. The only advice I can give you is do not be concerned about your sleeping you obviously need the rest. Try to go out for a walk each day, force yourself. Try to think positive, you did not mention if you have family support, I hope so but also know that they often fail to understand the extremity of your illness

When did the tiredness start? was it just before winter began?? try anything, if it works great, you know yourself better than anyone. So It could be the dose just isnt strong enough. Go make an appointment and suggest this to them. Be in charge of your life, and dont give up.

I have suffered sever depression for yearsssssssssssss. I take it as though, theres the depression making me feel bad,,,, its an illness. So its the meds that arnt putting the right drugs that are missing in my brain.

Otherwise I feel "normal" and functional.

Now if you no longer feel like your wanting to end it, thats a positive, so maybe they are the right ones, but look up on the internet what is the top dose that can be given slowly,,, so you are empowering your life. And leaving it up to the doctors to have all the answers. (believe me they dont know it all) you have to suffer it to understand your own depression.

I was being treated with sever bouts in winter, saying it was just depression,,,, when it was SAD seasonal effective disorder,, not enough sun light. Big difference!! for 20 years,,, even though I had already been diagnosed.

Buy a box from ebay if it lightens your mood while watching tv with it, good job,,, you got to plod on, and enjoy ever nice day.

Good luck you will get there in the end

have a great christmas.

been there unfortunately that only person who can break this habit is you. Perhaps you need to start forcing yourself to do things, going out, housework, eating, stop resting during the day etc. I know it is hard but no one else can do this for you

Its a case of starting off with engaging in little things and progressing to bigger, taking one day at a time.

Also think of engaging in talking therapies and possibly CBT, have a look at NHS choices

Hope it helps
