AND gemmalouise I do believe at one point the beatles where called the silver beatles but I think more of the original members where in the quarrymen , So to be fair I think you and themys are in a draw.

Hi Pete, I don't know answer. I only know Proclaimers would walk 500 miles. Thanks for doing quiz, I enjoyed it. Yes movies next would be good ; good idea, helps with concentration, reduces isolation. Good stuff.

I am surprised by how many know the Python Lee Jackson one! I was doing a quiz once with some very knowledgable music buffs and they insisted it was just Rod Stewart and didn't believe me when I told them the name of the group. But they changed it anyway thank goodness!

The Beatles one - I was and still am a massive fan of them and what I don't know about them isn't worth knowing! Like I said they called themselves the silver beatles and changed it to just beatles before Love love me do, because it was shorter. When they first formed they called themselves the Quarrymen and later it was Johnny and the Moondogs.

Here is one for you all (no cheating). Just before the beatles found fame they backed Tony Sheridan on a hit record. What was the name of it? xx
