I'm sure you feel some sense of achievement knowing that you managed the day. That's late in the day for the relatives to be leaving! Will you have a nice quiet day tomorrow or will it be more of the same?
I'm fairly pleased with how I've coped, although for the most part I've felt a little numb. I think that's the effects of the anti depressants, and I suppose it's preferable to the alternative.

My problem came was keeping the cats out whilst I was putting the polish down
I invested in a special mat a few years ago that is supposed to remove most of the mud from shoes and pets feet as they come in - across the conservatory door and the cat flap - don't seem to be get nearly so many muddy paw prints on the floor as I used to
