How to keep stable

What is the best way to remain stable when you are up to your eyes in Alligators when the only thing you want to do

is drain a swamp with a teaspoon.

That is how I feel today after being up country and having to return to where the postman knows where you live and life knows where to kick for best effect

All the best

How many metaphors can fit into one sentence? I was busy swimming with the aligators and suddenly I was drinking tea! When things are all upside down for me, I try to cling on to things that don't vary. Getting up, having food, watching my favourite shows at the same time, driving the same route to work. It gives me a little sense of balance x

Best way to remain stable is to do something that scares you. Like jumping straight into an alligator's mouth and getting the beast's jaw open. Find one thing that you absolutely dread the thought of (could be something that you've put off for a while, something that is bound with emotions but has no downside for you) and do it. peerdiagnosis.com/are-egg-y...

Hobello BOB here

Do something that scares you, did that pm played with my new chainsaw

All the best

Reading these posts about alligators made me feel

I am v. Stable. What the hell are you on about ? ah no you made me

Think do we speak a different language?

I find what keeps me stable is routine. Without sounding boring I like to cook

Something I really like. Wear an outfit that makes me feel good. ( Bob sorry for being girly)

Act as if . I try to do something I would do if I was stable. I find what I call. " acting as if"

Helps me. Getting enough sleep and too and reading my poetry books.

Hope some of these ideas help. Have a good weekend and watch out for the scaly

Creatures.

Hi,

I was reading about this type of therapy called 'Integrative Art Therapy' here - newroadconsultancy.com/coun... Maybe that could help?

Doing something productive in the form of art is a great way to get some balance and perspective. In fact, Carl Jung believed it was very much at the centre of the way people feel good about themselves. It's something everyone can do, see if you can take some time out to write or draw - or whatever else you might like to do. There are some really good resources here if you need some more info - dmoz.org/Health/Professions...

Hope that helps!

Thanks for those links. I paint Watercolours when I'm well. So

I agree with you about any creative endeavour .

Thanks
