HI to everyone, its been good to read all the posts and see how everyone is doing.
I have been very sick myself, I got Pleurisy over two weeks ago, have to go on yet another antibiotic and go back again to the Doctor in a week. Now I know I should be thankful that I live in a country with good medical care. I feel so down in the dumps with this set back as he said I have to rest. I am usually quite active, but since I got this I am very tired, and miss going for walks and stuff.
I have been trying to keep myself busy with some painting and reading and cuddling cats and stuff, but I would be interested if anyone else has gone through this type of situation, and what helped them get through. I enclose a photo I took of my friends children at the funfair. I call it Chairoplane Girls, and I have learned from this photo to enjoy the moment,

That sounds nasty, but I'm glad you're being treated well by the medics. It's horrible when suddenly you can't do the things that you depend on for your wellbeing, especially when that's getting out and about. It wont be forever though, you'll soon be back on your feet, I'm sure! The photograph is brilliant, I love it! You're very talented x
Hi Lucy, thanks for reply. Glad you liked the photo. Hannah
Hi, Oh no! Pleurisy is sooo painful, I had it three times in one year and instantly stopped smoking - I never want it again! Poor you. It sounds really good, painting and reading and cuddling cats - exactly what I like doing too. I bought all my favourite dvds secondhand and then enjoyed re-watching them, not I have them for the cold winter days too. I do hope you pick up again soon, Suexx
had some really nasty chest infections a couple of years ago - not fun.
think I got through it by sleeping a lot.
was lucky that it didn't happen in the summer but during a really cold spell in the winter when everywhere was ice bound so at least I didn't have to worry about trying to get to work in all the snow and ice ...
both viruses and anti-biotics can make you feel low so you may be suffering from tripple whammy at the moment.
Had a broken ankle at the start of the year - left me totally housebound and unable to do much which was horrible - don't think I got through it too well (really grumpy :)) - think one of the things that saved me was writing poems - nothing ambitious and easier than writing prose on one level. Think there was a fair amount of sleeping involved as well
Hope the second dose of antibiotics does the trick and you are feeling better soon.
Ooh I have had pleurisy and it was so painful I thought I was having a heart attack. I would keep busy with reading, (but that's me), maybe DVDs, sorting out old photos, and I keep busy on my computer. Do hope that you are feeling better soon. And that photo is brilliant..... oh, the joys of the world. Just great. Thanks for sharing it. xxxx
