Hello everyone,
I have been suffering from sensations of instability, dizziness, and pressure in my head for the past 6 months. I often feel like my head is “light,” with discomfort when standing, sensations similar to having consumed a few drinks, and sometimes a feeling of falling into the void. Degrees can be different and when its strong its a real handicap. Here’s a summary of my situation:
Symptoms: Sensation of pressure and heaviness in the forehead, dizziness, and instability, which sometimes seem triggered by movement or after taking the elevator but not everytime and can appear without any reason identifyied . That can stay few hours. Its really like ponctual crises. Seems less hard since few days but appears more often.
ENT Diagnosis: I have seen three ENT specialists, all of whom diagnosed me with chronic sinusitis with congestion, and one found a polyp. I have undergone several sinus scans and a brain MRI, which did not reveal any serious problems, but the pressure sensation persists despite treatment (corticosteroid sprays, nasal washes, antihistamines, and recently prescribed antibiotics). ENT specialist think there is no link beetween vertigo and the sinusit
Current Treatment: Despite nearly two weeks of treatment (antibiotics, sprays, etc.), my instability symptoms persist. I sometimes experience temporary improvements after a steam bath, but the sensations return.
Additional Tests: I have had a stress test and electrocardiograms for chest pain, but the results were normal. Blood prelevment revels nothing too.
Other Factors: I tend to be stressed and sometimes experience tingling in intense stress situations. I have also noticed that my dizziness symptoms seem less present after consuming alcohol.
I am looking for testimonials or individuals who have experienced similar situations. Does anyone have ideas about the cause of these instability sensations or advice on possible avenues to explore? Could this be related to an undetected vestibular or neurological problem?
Thank you in advance for your feedback! I really need you help ...
