I have a problem, which has been going on for a number of years. I just did not think it is a major issue. I have a problem where at night when asleep, I excessively drool. I wake up in the morning and I have been sleeping on a wet pillow. I have tried all the normal stuff of sleeping position but it does not make a difference as at night I toss and turn and it still happens. The only reason I notice it now as people in my family have told me I have bad breath during the day I do not know if that is impacting it though. Yes I do brush my teeth twice a day and sometimes 3 times a day, but that does not make a difference.
I have been recommend to get a mouth health clean by a dentist but I didnt want to go to a dentist if that is not the problem.
Not sure if this is connected but my knees, legs and especially feet remain cold always.
Just wanted some advice on where to start especially for the drooling/bad breath issue?

On the bad breath thing, then yes, go to a dentist, it may be you have a bad tooth that is not painful enough for you to notice but it is causing mouth odour. Other causes are general ill health (like when you have flu or something) or diet ( I no longer eat spring onions, odd though that may sound!).On the drooling I suspect it's natural if you sleep with your mouth open?
I had a similar problem for many years, with a furred up tounge & severe plaque on the back of teeth, didn’t have bad breath though. I finally resolved the issue by 1st using a strong mouthwash in my case Listering total care & brushing tounge religiously for a month or so when cleaning teeth this will kill all the bacteria and actually worked. However using strong mouthwash continually is not recommended as it kills the good bacteria aswell. I now use only natural ingredient toothpaste with no fluoride and no mouthwash and now have no plaque or furred tounge. As for drooling try mouth tapes which you can buy online very cheaply or from chemist they will stop you from sleeping with your mouth open. I hope this helps
If the OP is producing excess saliva then that needs to be looked at by a healthcare professional. It may not be an oral problem as many people sleep with their mouths open with no drooling.
The mouth tapes are not huge and basically just cover and adhere to the lips. I’m not in the UK but I’m sure most chemists would stock or be able to order them for you. I bought mine via EBay
