Sore throat in morning

Hi everyone,

I have, for the last month or so , been waking up with a moderately irritated throat each morning. I also have a little cough which is more throat clearing. What is interesting is when I come out of the shower, my nose stream for about 10 minutes and I am constantly blowing it. I have been under quite a bit of stress at work and this is impacting my sleep - I wake up around 3am and can take an hour to go back to sleep which leaves me feeling a bit groggy when I wake up.

Otherwise, I am fine, eating well and running/cycling. Any comments hugely appreciated!

Do you know whether you snore? That can irritate your throat. Then the question becomes "why have you started snoring?"

probably best to see your GP. You may need a referral to a sleep clinic to see if obstructive sleep apnoea is at the root of your problems.
