My partner had a pacemaker fitted when we were on holiday in Spain but they never gave him a card.

We are now going to travel again and may need a card of some kind at the airport, not sure what to do.

Your partner needs to attend a UK pacemaker clinic to ascertain what type of pacemaker it is and to organise regular follow up. I’d do that before going away again.

I've never been asked to show my pacemaker card - but I agree with xsevenx , he needs to organise regular follow-up.

I was given a paper card the same day as the implant. My permanent card (size of a credit card) was mailed to me by the company that manufactured the pacemaker.
