Is anyone suffering with Giardia? Anyone had it and been treated? Please share your experience as I've got it again and despite having appointments with the gastro docs, nothing cured it the last time I had it, back in 2020, and I suffered with it for seven months and only stopped suffering after consuming Golytely prior to a procedure, which was odd.

I know when I got it to the day. It was December 2, 2019. The day before was my birthday, me and my GF, her mother and step dad, we all visited an Indian restaurant. The food was great, we all had a mildly spicy dosa. The problem was we all had tap water. Given I already had a reduced immune system this was an awful mistake on my part. Only myself fell ill next day, only myself suffered with severe diarrhea.

I underwent so many tests, it was ridiculous but it was at the start of Covid and lockdowns. It took seven months or roughly 210 days of diarrhea, thus 200 plus rolls of toilet paper!!! I had a colonoscopy in June 2020 and they claimed they found nothing wrong! Go figure. Doctors took 27 photos. I was perplexed. All I know was that taking the Golytely to clean the colon seemed to result in the diarrhea stopping. How and why, I have no idea.

This time around, I took it upon myself to consume bottles of Kefir, Yogurt, and as many pre & probiotics as humanly possible, this even included Sauerkraut. I stopped eating all regular foods for the week and this alone had a dramatic improvement. So don't wait for doctors and specialists to treat you, get aggressive with yourself, be proactive.

I followed this site and it's links as it was very informative. I am in no way related to the company, I just followed a lot of it's information. stevegranthealth.com/articl...

In short, I wasn't prepared to wait for the various clinics and doctors to make appointments, it's too $$$$$$. Good luck, stay in touch.
