I have been suffering from chronic prostatitis for nearly 8 years. I have been treated with Cipro and tamsulosin. The symptoms recede after treatment and return more aggressively. Now they are worse and at night I have the urge to empty my bladder up to 4 times. The pain on the tip of the penis and near the anus area is more intense. What medicine can cure this infection fully?

Chronic prostatitis for 8 years
Not an easy answer. It is not well understood and is not simply an infection. Often it is called chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Treatments include alpha blockers anti inflammatory agents, antibiotics, hormone manipulation, physiotherapist .
The symptoms are chronic and go on for many years. Not serious but unpleasant
I agree with Goldfish. I suffered from chronic prostatits for many years (1992-2003 more or less) with various periods of different symptoms. What has surely been useful were long cycles of antibiotics. I remember once I take a 21 days period with Bassado (a tetracycline) and some years later a 90 days period with ciprofloxacin. When the symptoms have become less strong I took advantage of alpha blockers. Now I am well but keep assuming alpha blockers. My feeling is that alpha blocker have as side effect a decreased energy in ejaculation but I don't know if it is scientifically demonstrated.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. It inspires me.
Try a culture of your semen and your urine. If positive, a long period antibiotic treatment is probably a good choice. If the cultures are negative, maybe some particularly fastidious bacterium or other microorganisms such as chlamydiae or mycoplasma could be responsible. In my experience, long antibiotic treatment was the only way to resolve something. Go to an infectivologist beside the urologist. Urologists are surgeons and may not be accustomed with infectious diseases. Best whishes. Nick
I have also infection in prostate. I am diabetic too. Can you take cipro so long time? does it give you any side reaction, like shaking palpitation like this? about 6 months ago, blood came out through my urinary passage. But Dr did systoscopy. But he said it is OK. From then about 6 times blood came out through urinary passage. Then started pelvic pain. I took Cipro for 10 days, pain gone. I was feeling hypoglycemia feeling, and shaking. Hence I stopped that. After a few days I see foamy and deep yellow urine coming. I started taking Cipro again 10 days. It improved. It just ended three days back. Now Cloudy urine is coming again. As I am hypoglycemic, any abrupt sugar change, gives be hypo feeling. It is very negative. For urination, I do not feel that much problem, but except little pain in penis Tip. If I drink, after 3/4 hours it expels. Each time 8 ounce. I feel problem with Cipro, Hypo symptoms. How long I will have to use cipro tt clear bacteria?
Hi tumi, I understand what you are suffering now since my husband had prostatitis before. Have you tried herbal medicine? My husband was cured by a herbal medicine called diuretic and anti-inflammatory pill. Its herbal formula has no side effects. Maybe you can have a try. Hope you will feel well soon.
Happy to hear the good news, could you tell me where can I buy this medicine?
this is not safe at all. Go the CBD route same results and you can get real info on the ingredients going into your body. There is absolute poison being sold out there as diuretic.
Best of look Mr, i hope you can get some help pretty soon.

Most of the allopathic medicines prescribed for your condition have some side effect or the other. I suggest you try an Ayurvefic cure. Relatively safer. Shilajit is one effective medicine that comes to mind. There are many more to choose from with discretion.
If it’s been demonstrated that it is Chronic bacterial prostatitis then the only solution is to completely remove the prostate. I suffered for 27 years from Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis with no pain component. I had it removed against the advise of my idiot Urologist and I had to travel abroad to get it done on my expense and I am glad I did. I am finally free of infections and I am living again!!
So which surgery approach did you did to get it removed ? The minimum invasive one ?
When it comes to a surgery for prostatitis, one thing has to be mentioned, surgery is typically done only after all other treatments have failed. And the side effects have to be mentioned, It can make your symptoms worse, if the surgeon may not remove the part of the prostate that is causing your symptoms. Or To remove the entire prostate can leave you with urinary incontinence and/or erectile dysfunction.
Is it totally removed or partially? My problem is I am diabetic and hypoglycemic? Any sugar change gives me hypo feeling. Now there is a mediciine called Avadat that shrinks the prostate. Is it good?
I suffered from sever CPPS/ Prostatitis all of last year. The one thing that really worked to ease the situation was full spectrum CBD oil. If you are in a state with medical THC get a 20:1 ratio CBD to THC and if you take everyday should be able to fully heal. CPPS does not go away but CBD has the ability to rid of the symptoms and provide a relief for the anxiety that comes along with it all. Once you accept what it is and realize that it is very mental, you can beat this ailment and live your life 100%. Hope this helps, wish I had tried this approach way earlier. I recommend Endoca, Populum, Sunset Naturals, CBD Distillery full spec, etc. for those who cant get thc.

Hi chaps. I must apologise, I’m not very good with this forum stuff, never been on one. I’ve been suffering with non bacterial prostititis for around 6 years now. Had kidney scans, bladder scans, cystoscopy, flow tests, MRI scan. All come back fine. Had every antibiotic, tamulusin, Flomax etc. I’ve tried lots of herbal remedies, such as saw palmetto, coconut oil, garlic capsules, juicing diets. And been as low as you can imagine. I know it’s a massive step, but I was a very big meat eater, and would eat what a want, when I wanted. A month ago I watched something called Hope, about our western diet etc, and people have claimed to cure themselves of various diseases on a plant based diet! So myself and my wife are now vegan. I have also cut yeast out as well which I found to be a problem when I drank beer or ate bread. I now only drink Gin and slimline tonic. I also take one Bioglan Cucumin tablet, and one holland and Barrett pumpkin seed oil capsule a day. It’s been a month now, and no symptoms at all. Worth a try.
