Is it back ache?

My back ache is in the small of the back. But I also get twinges around the front in the stomach area and the sides roughly at the same level. It's not constant or intense (about 3/4 on a pain scale). It started 5 days ago after I suspect doing a bit more than I should (i'm 75 male and generally fit). The first night kept waking me up but since then abated but not disappearing. When I eat I seem to get twinges as well.

I have had stomach problems in past year (some lighter and bloody stools) but seems to have disappeared. Had tests and discovered some apparently benign things like polyps and gall bladder ageing but no mass in the organs. just wondering.

Anyone with experience comment welcome. Yes I will go to Dr if persists but NHS say wait a while - fair enough I might have just strained something. Many thanks.

Maybe a short course of ibuprofen (if you are able to take it) would be worth a try prior to seeing your doctor?

Thanks will try that. I am 80% sure it's back ache related as it eases off if I refrain from working. Of course ibuprofen just suppresses the pain and I usually put up with that at least for this problem.
