High Blood Pressure on waking

I woke early and it was half light. Just lying there I could see the cupboard opposite my bed moving across my vision. Did not feel vertigo or nauseous.

Checked my BP and was 205/90. Normal for me is 130/80.

Dr examined and A&E visit did not see any problems with Blood or heart rhythm.

Dr gave me Ramipril 5mg.

This has bought down BP to 120ish but I seem to have (after 5 days) vertigo like symptoms sometimes dizzy. low level but there constant.

Should I persist or give it more time? Thanks.

Hi there... have been on Bisoprolol for HBP and arrythmia for years. Too many side effects to mention . But, they all cause Dizziness...if your BP isn't a concern I would talk to Doctor again and seriously consider some other approach. Side effects are sometimes worse than condition. Once again, go see Doc ASAP/

Thanks. I have persisted a bit and find vertigo has worn off. BP has come down about 10/5 so working. Now average 125/75. Dr has put me in for Blood Test in a fortnight to chek fo kidney function I presume.

Now getting Tingling in feet and hands when I am at rest, sitting or in bed. The instructions suggest I should contact the Dr. as it may be serious. Anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks.
