I saw a urologist two days ago, and he basically said I need a circumcision. He said steroid cream will probably not work, although he did prescribe me triamcinolone 0.1% and told me to try it for a month.
Now, I would like to avoid a circumcision, as I have read that it greatly reduces sensitivity and pleasure.
When flaccid, I can retract the foreskin 3/4 of the way down the head. I cannot retract it much when erect.
Considering my situation and the state of my phimosis, do you think that stretching/cream will fix the problem, or should I get the circumcision?
Thank you.

Sounds very similar to my situation. If he is telling you try for a month also give stretching a go. It's doesn't work for all but it has worked.
Unfortunately it did not work for me and I had to have a circumcision due to the irreparable damage it caused. I'm nearly three weeks obviously yet to 'try' it out. But at the moment I didn't feel it was a bad decision I made to go ahead with the surgery
Thank you for your reply, and I'm sorry stretching didn't work for you. My main concern with the circumcision is the reported loss of sensitivity, so please let me know how it ends up turning out for you.
I had phimosis at 17 years old. At first i thought that circumcision was a bad decision and that i wouldnt enjoy sex. After i got circumcised i saw that this was the best decision i ever made.
Consult the charity 15 Square. 15square.org.uk They have doctors who will advise you on technques to help you avoi circumcision. Circumcision should be your last resort.
I had the same procedure, and after masturbating once after it I could hardly walk cuz of how good it felt. I believe pleasure is mostly mental, and getting circumcised was probably a good decision for me.
I also got circumcised a few years ago at 17. Before the op I tried the cream and the stretching too but nothing helped. I finally got cut. I think it was one of my best decisions ever! Don't listen to the anti-circumcision people. A lot of them aren't even circumcised themselves and those who are have been done as a baby and have no comparison whatsoever. Circumcision certainly doesn't reduce pleasure, on the contrary!
Man what a set up by that doctor. He’s flat out lying to you. If you really don’t want a circumcision, don’t go back to him.
The medicine he gave you will facilitate stretching. It must be used sparingly and be applied only to the tight ring, rubbed in completely. Use it twice per day, after stretching.
Stretching techniques can be learned at drelastic.com. For fastest results, begin each day with a ten minute session. Repeat thre more times for five minutes each.
An alternative method is to use skin tunnels which are marketed at phimocure.net.
Your innate resistance and what you’ve heard is correct. Circumcision would remove some 20,000 nerve ending which impart feelings of pleasure during sex. Your foreskin is worth the six weeks or so you’ll invest in helping it mature.
First of all, thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate your thoughts on both sides - circumcision/anti-circumcision.
Today was actually a big improvement, because for the first time every, I was able to retract the foreskin when I was flaccid, and see the whole head! It was a pretty gunky in there, but I cleaned most of it out, even though the sensitive glans hurt.
I think the stretching/cream is working. Hopefully, soon I will able to be able to retract it when I'm erect!
Keep it up the stretching work almost all the time. You just have to put in the effort. It’s only in extreme cases that you will need a circumcision. Just be careful and you will be fine.
