Hi new member here and for a while I've been getting pain in both my testcles and I'm not sure which could be causing it. It's like a steady pain rather than a sharp pain. I'm going to attach a few pics and maybe someone with more knowledge then me can tell me if they look abnormal. They do hang pretty high and looks like I have a bag of worms in my scrotum. Apologies for anyone that's currently having dinner
Pain in both testicles: Hi new member... - Men's Health Forum
Pain in both testicles
The best thing you can do is go see your GP, honestly
It's not easy for someone like me to go for a problem this personal but I'll make the appointment.. thanks for the reply
Rest assured your doctor will have been involved in more personal procedures than a testicle examination. It is essential that men do not shorten their lives by delaying seeing a doctor. Take care.
Thanks Osige I'm going to make an appointment when my gp practice opens Monday
Great stuff. Hope it goes well. If you ever feel uneasy about seeing your GP again, think about those of us who have had to have more from a GP’s finger than most patients!!!
Thanks Osidge
Although it might seems uncomfortable to see a doc for such personal problems, remember, they are doctors and have seen it all.
I'm talking from experience. Last year, I've seen doctors for ongoing hematospermia, involving many exams ...
I have similar symptoms and my GP thinks it’s varicoceles. Waiting on an ultrasound to confirm. Switching to underpants helps me with the pain, believe it or not. Varicoceles are common, from what I’ve read, but people don’t discuss knackers that often.
What's the treatment for that condition? and do you have any other symptoms apart from the pain?
No other symptoms. The pain is less than it was 2 months ago but still present. I believe someone else has now answered about treatment for this condition.
Remember that it isn’t guaranteed that the condition is this until it is confirmed by a specialist, so keep ringing your GP until you get through!
Just reading your comments you may have vericioles issues. Your veins are swollen. I have the the same iasues and that's what I was diagnosed with. Andvdeoendeing on the severity surgery would be recommended. If it's not too bad they'll just leave it. Age is a factor in this. I have known I have had this awhile. But this past month or so I went in to my go telling her about the issue and the pain was increased. So she did a hernia check and found I had two imguinal hernias. So a double whammy on me. Just had surgery for hernia and waiting 3 to 6 months to check and see if I will need surgery on the varicocele.
Thank you and I hope the surgery went well. I'll call them tomorrow and hope I don't have anything to serious.
Good luck. Been healing last 3 weeks on the hernia surgery. Getting better everyday. Thank you.
Keep me posted what they find.
Bluesky - I don't see any images, did you post them here? In any case, "bag of worms" is a classic description of varicocele. (I am NOT a doctor!) Please let us know what your doctor finds on examination!
I an totally understand about not wanting to be examined down there; I feel the same. Cheers to you for going through with it!
I had the same the same and was diagnosed with chronic epididymitis.
After some horribly embarrassing dr’s appointments which included me getting a hard on while the sonographet rubbed gel on my balls for an ultrasound i was told I had a varicocele that needed surgery.
Best thing I ever did. I still have a small amount of discomfort but was told to manage it by regularly wanking or having sex to make sure my pipes kept moving !!
Bit the bullet and go get it sorted. PM if you want to chat more.
