A couple of the tablets I take daily say I should avoid (Amlodipine) or limit (statin) grapefruit intake. They mention raw grapefruit and graprfruit juice. What about grapefruit marmalade? Is that OK.
I know this is off-message for "Men's Health", but HealthUnlocked did not offer a general forum or even the Healthy Living forum I had also selected.

All I have seen appears to indicate that grapefruit in all its forms, as well as marmalade made with Seville oranges, should be avoided. However, I would advise you to take advice from your pharmacist
If you Google it, there are some good write ups online. The long and short of it is there is something unique to grapefruit which cause a build up of certain medication components which can be toxic.
That said I have the occasional grape fruit or grapefruit juice... very occasional. And I’m still fine. I think it is daily intake you want to avoid.
