Ranitidine?

Does anyone know what the present knowledge is on Ranitidine? Have they actually identified a carcinogen either in the original material or due to degradation over time and storage? I was on this for many years and found it much more effective than PPI's which seemed to do nothing for me at all. Fortunately my acid reflux seems to have reduced in the last couple of years but if it gets worse I would like to think that Ranitidine might become available again.

This is the latest official pronouncement in the UK: nhs.uk/medicines/ranitidine... in the USA: fda.gov/news-events/press-a...

Last I thot heard ranitidine has been recalled due to high NDMA (nitrosodimethlamine). It can/ has caused cancer. I took it for awhile and it kicked my brain out of gear. I had my memory not caring whether or not I could get hurt in a car accident. I laughed at tragic things. I personally would not use this product because of that. I'm glad I went in before I was seriously injured in any way.
