Questions about Circumcision

I'm 32 years old, Chinese, living in the UK. If I'm going to have circumcision, can someone give me some suggestions shall I go for it or not. I really scare.

Why do you want a circumcision? Do you have a medical reason?

No I don't have any medical reason. Just my partner asked me too.

And what if you don’t like it after it’s done or you and partner drift apart. Think carefully about it before you go ahead, After all it’s your body. personally I like to see a nice foreskin and if it’s works well then leave alone…👍

I was circumcised when I was two years old. When I found out when I was older, I was angry that I had been 'cut' with no say in the matter. You have not said why your partner wants you to have the op'. Are you cleaning under under your foreskin to make sure that there is no build up of smegma? If you don't do this then your partner will find the smell distasteful and won't wish to indulge in any oral contact. If I were you I would avoid.

All surgical procedures carry risks. If there is no medical need for a circumcision, I'd think very carefully before proceeding with an unnecessary intervention.

I had to have it done as a last resort after suffering from Balanitis since my teenage years, many creams over the years thinned the skin and urological visits yielded no positive lasting results until my Circ, so glad it was done now as I rarely think about it but I do live with the thin skin that causes the odd issue. If you had a medical issue I would be shouting at you to go now but its an aesthetic issue and that needs a longer thought process, if you find a Surgeon that will do it for the reason you give you cant put it back if it A, goes wrong or B, you don't like it. Its your decision and don't let someone else make such a personal decision for you.

As most have said here think carefully about having Surgery because someone else wants you to not because you need it. I believe there are Doctors who will perform the Surgery for cosmetic reasons for which you will pay. I had to have it for medical reasons and to be honest there is no major difference from before or after. Yes it is different, but there are pro's and con's for all.

If you decide to go ahead choose your Surgeon following lots of research and recommendation.

Bottom line for me would be if I not good enough the way I am then sorry. TTFN.

Be honest how do you think she would react if you asked her to have cosmetic Surgery ?

knowing what I know now I would definitely not get it done if you don’t need to I needed to for medical reasons and I had an instant regret when I did. The best solution would be to get a new partner and keep your hood 😂

It'll be totally fine , no pain or discomfort whatsoever in my case.

Just be sure to be careful during aftercare, and lookup what style of circumcision you might want
