So I have phimosis and have been slowly but surely stretching the skin using rings specifically made for this condition. It has been going well until recently. Seemingly overnight, the skin went back to what it was before I started stretching. What could have happened?

What happened with my phimosis progression?
I would agree, Nowhard. Jumping straight to surgery is not always the best option for many health issues.
I would seriously consider circumcision now you have tried stretching and it has failed you won’t regret it
Have you had an assessment to see if you have Lichen Sclerosus ?
What is your stretching routine. How long have you been doing it? How do you clean? Any unprotected sex with new partner?
I had this problem in my teens, it sorted itself naturally by tearing slowly over a couple of years. Never needed any circumcision operation and now I have the best of both worlds where I have a ‘hood’ over my head to keep it sensitive and protected when soft, but also it will retract completely when I am erect or need to clean it. I CANNOT understand why the medical profession hasn’t worked out how to do this too ! circumcision is butchery that will diminish your sensitivity and your sex life in the long run. Don’t do it unless there are serious medical issues that necessitate it.
Hi they're , so I have tight foreskin and if I pull it back it tears on one side , your saying if it keeps tearing / splitting naturally eventually it'll sort itself out ? Thanks
It did for me. If i was you I’d leave it. If it gets infected or something seek advice, but sometimes letting nature take its course is best.
I had this condition when I was a teen.
I was given 3 choices
1-total circumcision
2-partial circumcision
3- steroids cream and a stretch devise
I was told that option 3 could take 1-2 year to completely work.
I chose 2 where they cut the outer ring to release tightness. It worked
I had a friend that was circumcised and wanted to restore it took him 18 month to get full coverage.
Stretching will work but will take time
