I have been treated for Prostatitis for the last four years the Dr has had me a rotation of three antibiotics: Doxycyclin, Cipro, and Cefadroxil. about two months on one then switch. I question him on if that is too long to stay on antibiotics and he say that until he is confident the infection is gone. Does this sound right?

Yes, but some cases of prostatitis is caused by congestion only, not bacterial type of prostate inflammation, and that is the type of non-bacterial prostatitis, for this kind of inflammation, basically antibiotics don't cure it. But they have natural therapies to treat it, such as herbal treatment of diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills, massage therapy, acupuncture, etc. Just try and maybe one of them works for you. Good luck.
