Have a hair folical infection on upper hamstring area and buttocks, for a long time.

Been on Flucloxacillin for 3.5 weeks which helped at first but not now and I am getting lower back pain and blood shot eyes -so I am seeing my GP today and ceasing the tablets.

Can anyone recommend anything else - I have tried TCP and Germolene to no effect - my chemist had no ideas.

The spots are itchy and sometimes puss up like a zit.

I have BUPA cover if thats worth a shot?

Are you sexually active? Those antibiotics shouldhave cleared up any infection. I would get an STI screening plus herpes HSV1 AND HSV2.
