Should I consider being re-circumcised?

I got this strange flap of skin under the glans. It looks weird and when I'm fully hard there's still a little bit of skin left underneath and some at the sides. Should I get this cut? What do you guys think?

It’s really up to you. If I was in your position I’d consider getting a high and tight circumcision. BUT the problem with it is, is that it won’t leave much wiggle room and you’ll most definitely have to use lube.

It does have its advantages when fapping but I'm afraid women might find it weird. The surgeon told me that it adds pleasure for both me and women, and if I do get a tight cut I might experience painful erections since the skin is for allowance. Is this true? Also I would like it if it were LOW and TIGHT instead of high. Thoughts?

I got mine done low and tight and t worked out perfectly. Maybe you should consider a plastic surgeon as I’ve heard that they do a much better job than your typical surgeon in a hospital but their a little pricey I think.

Does the sensitivity lessen after you got a tight cut? I think a normal surgeon could do the job. Won't make much of a difference anyway.

Well it certainly does matter what surgeon does it. You don’t want to botch up your penis as you only get one in this life. You need to research the surgeon. trust me there have been many people on here with botched up surgery’s because the surgeon wasn’t experienced.

And as for the sensitivity, everyone is different but for me I only lost about 40% and my frenulum was left intact, thank god . It feels much better when having intercourse now though as I had severe phimosis before.

As for the surgeon he was referred by my relatives and he's been on the job for almost 3 years (is that reliable enough?). I would prefer my frenulum intact though since it's the one with most sensitivity. I just want a cleaner look on my dick when it's fully erect as well as in its flaccid state. I get so conscious about it which prevents me from engaging into sexual activities.

I won't worry. Leave it. It may cause more friction in sex and she will enjoy it. Only have it seen to if you suffer with and bad side affects. All penises look different. Some are scew , others are bent. some small others big. I think that will just give a woman more pleasure. Change it when she complains that she wants it different. Its hers not yours.

Every circumcision I have seen comes out a little weird. Every uncircumcised penis has its idiosyncrasies also. Is it worth the pain and healing time to get it trimmed up a bit? And, is it worth the risk that your penis will then come out weird in some other way, like maybe circumcised too tight? - Cheers! - Jeremy, Medibation.com

The surgeon did tell me about the risks but I've also asked my peers about how it's like having a tight circumcision. It works for them and I was hoping that if I'd get cut again, the only thing different would be a much cleaner and smooth look (removal of some of the excess skin). I'm also expecting some loss of sensitivity. I don't mind the pain really. I hope it won't turn out to be very tight though.

Chances are extremely high that it will turn out just fine.

Thanks dude! I'm looking forward to it.

This is a kind of body modification, and there are a lot of guys who enjoy that. The idea of the dick you've known all your life being new and different is like getting a new toy. - Cheers! - Jeremy, Medibation.com

Yeah I figured but I'm having a dilemma on removing since the surgeon said that the extra skin adds pleasure and more sensitivity during intercourse although I personally think it's weird. I would want a more cleaner look to it especially when it's fully erect (was thinking of having a LOW & TIGHT or a HIGH & LOOSE cut). What do you think?

in reply to alphaero

I have the extra skin too which is a bit big and itchy but it doesnt hurt.

I'd get a HIGH and TIGHT style in my opinion. It will look most neat and skin will stretch over time if cut too tight. You'll get used to 'new' sensitivity, as times goes by you'll forget how it felt before surgery like millions of guys who had it done as adults.

I was going for the HIGH & LOOSE though since I read an article that says it may restrict erection when cut too tight. What cut did you get?

anton999 profile image
anton999 in reply to alphaero

I'm going to get a HIGH and TIGHT myself, cause there's only a possibility of cutting too high...most surgeons in US know what they're doing. And in the States HIGH and TIGHT is the most prevalent style. In any case skin will naturally ajust, and I wouldn't wanna redo surg. if skin still be hanging a little too much after LOOSE cut. I say go for HIGH and TIGHT man.

I am a Filipino and I think IT is a dorsal slit.

Did you ever consider getting a much cleaner cut?

Hey man i’m also filipino. Ganito din akin and I feel very insecure about it because of the extra skin. Ang pangit tignan nakakainis. Ewan ko ba bakit ganito ginawa ng doctor. Takot naman ako magpa recircumcise ulit kasi masakit. Dapat in the first place tight yung circumcision and walang extra skin.

The answer to your dilemma may lie in your original reason for the circumcision. Did you do it for cosmetic reasons or medical reasons?

alphaero profile image
alphaero in reply to jimfromcalif

Both I guess. I mean it has its medical benefits but I also want the cut to be a clean one.

Then go back and get it done right.

Yeah that's exactly what I bet too! Because all of that overhang isn't brand new grown skin, but it is previoisly existed skin that was left by the surgeon. He just made a (dorsal slit) down the middle of the foreskin, so that it can expand and retract during erection, with minimal effort. Although it looks ugly and goofey, it is good because you still have your 98% intact prepuce with all of the original and natural nerve systems. So you shouldn't feel a major reduction in sensitivity in comparison to the full-circumcision victims. Also during flaccidity, your head is covered, protected, and moisture-preserved for a tender and sensitive head, when sex time comes around.

But wouldn't women find it weird though?

Qfellow profile image
Qfellow in reply to alphaero

Well....that will be the prime time to "teach" that woman! Lol It's not even about what a women finds weird; their minds are weird and unsolvable anyways, lol. If you can make your penis erected and it works for her, then that's all that should matter to her. You should ask would she rather you get all of it amputated off? It's her choice I guess, but at least now you can retract with no difficulties.

And if she's looking at and seeing it, then she should be playing and meddling with it [the penis]. If she thens begin to fundle, let her have fun with your unusual hanging skin. When you erect then you use that hardness to benefit her! Lol Her problems will go away verrrrry soon....lol

Alphaero, can you post a pic of it erected, so the full plexity can be seen of having this hanging skin?

Qfellow profile image

Post a pic of how it looks when fully erect. So we can see the formation of the cut where it really counts and matters

It looks ugly , if your doing a few girls I'm sure some of them would feel awkward, but if you can dish out a lot of pleasure with the extra skin then you maybe on to something. Otherwise I would sue that dictor.

Hey man what did you end up doing? Was doc able to just cut off the flap or skids he have to do a full circumcision?

ThorskinsHammer profile image

I would definitely get re-circumcised. For looks and sanitary purposes.

Hey man. I have the same exact thing. What did you do to yours? I want to get revisioned but I'm afraid of the pain. This was supposed to be a one time thing. If only the doctor did my circumcision properly

uncutforesk profile image

Did you have a dorsal slit only? I recall a neighbor showing me his circumcision when I was 15. He was12 when he got snipped. I could see the groove behind his glans but he had flaps of foreskin remaining. It looked like he had about 3 cuts on his foreskin. Did the doctor use course "pinking" shears? He was upset. " Look what they did to my boy".
