This topic has been a debate for me since i was 12 and i am now 14 and I want to get circumcised but what should i expect after the procedure is done.

Q:How long will it take to heal?

Q:Does it leave a permanent scar?

Q:Is it possible for the doc to leave a little foreskin?

May i know what is the reason for your circumcision? Because my suggestion would be not to circumcised if it is not due to religion and health issue such as phimosis.

To answer your question:

1. Healing process took about 1 month, or 2 weeks for some. Note: healing means no more pain. (I was circumcised 3 months ago, the pain go away around 1 month but i still feel sore and sensitive most of the time)

2. In my case, the scar is still there (obviously), but it really depend on individual. Of of the time the scar will be faded away over a year or so (according to my own research) but the colour different will be there.

3. Why would you want to do that? and btw, it's depend on your doctor. Every doc have different skills, not every circumcision surgery came out the same, some might left more and vice versa. But that shouldn't be huge problem.

There are different types of cut you can discuss with Surgeon and dependant on his skill the scar will be less obvious in time. Every one heals differently, I was still in some discomfort many weeks after.

My advice is unless you really need it, don't bother. There is no going back.

Why do you want this? Healing will take about six weeks and will leave a permanent scar. You’ll also lose about half of your sensitivity. The doctor has many options on what to cut, but there is no guarantee he’ll do what you want.

If you don’t need it, don’t get it g. I’m 16 so we around the same age and the process is not nice. (I got it on medical reasons) The first 3-4 days is like living in hell, I actually felt quite depressed from the feeling of my glans touching anything and I wasn’t in a good place because my family thought I was exaggerating and got annoyed at me because I was naked all the time. This will get better over time but it takes long. Unless u can stick up with a long painful journey don’t do it unless u have to.
