I had my circumcision a week ago, I told myself I would remove the stitches myself within the 10-12 day mark because I don't want them to leave a scar. It takes the human body 4-6 weeks to dissolve the stitches, at your point you can give gentle tugs and twist so the beak and you can pull off.

Do not remove them yourself. A) you might hurt yourself and B) there might be a reason why they are still in.

Stitches that dissolve by themselves dissolve by the body's reaction to it. The body releases enzymes that makes the stitches slowly but surely go away. If you do it prematurely it might mean your body hasn't created enough as a sign of slower healing. Remember that everyone heals differently.

If you want them removed, go see your doc, or just ask him or her if that is OK. Then you can get a nurse to take them out for you, or ultimately you can do it yourself if the doc says its OK.

Thank you cipher That’s really a satisfying reply

But also the thing is that it’s been 40 days i am not able to do sex as of stitches and its really kind of irritating

Are you certain the doc used stitches that dissolve then? Anyway, make sure to contact the doctor that did the procedure and consult with him/her. 40 days should be out by then.

Hi shivam I too needed 3 months for the stitches to fully dissolve some of them dissolved right on the twelfth day. If none of yours have dissolved, you must check with the surgeon who performed your surgery

I agree. It's great being circumcised. I love it. I would never want my foreskin back.

Why don't you like it?

Sorry I meant masterbation . It was typing error just edited it . Am also curmcumsized from childhood and it's our culture to circumcise every boy

Those who are not circumcised are more risk for penis cancer than those circumcised .

Although it's rare cancer

That’s a myth. Cancer is caused by HPV, acquired from unprotected sex with infected partner.

Yap HPV causes squamous cell carcinoma of penis , the risk of HPV infection in uncircumcised is high more than circumcised people .
