So it'll be a week since my op on Thursday and although the pain has now pretty much subsided. The sensitivity of the penis especially the head of course is causing me hell. Still can't wear any clothes at all so am naked around the house or holding something like a dressing gown so I can actually leave my room. The slightest touch whether it be from a finger or my dressing gown is excruciating. I'm starting to think I'm never gonna be able to wear clothes again or leave the house.
If anyone knows any ways to desensitise the head of the penis that would be amazing.
I just want to sit and eat a meal, be able to social with my family, wear clothes and leave the house. None of which I can do right now!

I just had it done last week on Wednesday so today will be my 7th day. My penis head is still sensitive but I was able to put my pant (sweat pant of course) on since day one. Right after the surgery, my doctor gave me the healing cream called Sudocream and a few rolls of gauze that I have to put/change on the stitches after I pee. I kept doing it until now but he told me to put on Vaseline instead starting from today . At where the stitches are still swollen but started healing slowly but of course it is still sore when I touch it. I can tell my stitches are started dissolving because I saw that when I changed the bandage. I think putting the bandage after applying the healing cream at the stitches helped me a lot to able to walk and not as sensitive to touch with my sweat pant . I think you might want to try that because you will have to get used to the sensitive touch and if you don’t start trying that now , it will probably take more time to get used to it . I know we are going through hell right now but it will wroth it for our whole lives. Hope it helps brother
Ps. Erection a few times a day , especially at 4am (every day) woke me up with the fear that my stitches were ripped . Worst feeling ever .
Appreciate it although. The sought touch makes me want to faint through the pain so I don't know how I'm gonna be able to do it. How you wore clothes straight away after the op is unbelievable.
I'm trying but not being able to do anything is driving me insane
Salve, xcix99!
Let me assure you that although what you're experiencing is quite normal, the intense and painful sensitivity is short-lived and it will subside.
I felt exactly the same as you do now. Will I ever be able to wear clothes? I also roamed the house in my 'birthday suit'. It will take a little time for the sensitivity to die down, but you will be fine, walking normally and venturing outside your front door.
I don't know where you live, but if you can buy yourself a bed cradle, (a device that keeps the bedclothes/duvet away from your body), that will allow you to have a comfortable night's sleep.
During the day, tight underpants are the way forward. They'll hold your penis tight against your body and prevent any painful friction between the glans and your clothes.
To be honest it was many, many years ago since I had my operation, so it's hard to remember accurately. Probably a couple of weeks or so. I know the thought of wearing tight pants is daunting, but do give it a go as soon as you can. The fact that they are tight means you'll not get any rubbing between your penis and your clothes, which is the source of your pain. Then you'll find you can wear normal clothing again. I found taking daily salt baths helped my recovery considerably.
The point of having the bed cradle was to allow me to sleep naked without discomfort; I only wore the tight underpants during the day, and once I'd gained the confidence to do that, wearing normal trousers, etc presented no problems.
Thank you this is all very helpful we continue with the salt baths twice a day and by the weekend at the latest attempt to put some tight underwear on. Thanks again.
Following. I'm on day 8 today and stitches are all still there. Sensitive as H*LL at the moment so walking about without much clothing on. Hoping it's going to start getting better soon.
You are not being circumcised as a first candidate. Wait nature will take care of everything. Don't be impatient
I underwent my circumcision 5 days ago. I can relate to all your points. I feel like my life is hell. I cannot wear any clothes. Can you tell me how many days did it take for the sensitivity and pain of glans to subside? I am really scared.
Then enjoy the irritation. Don't feel afraid. Maximum you can use some skin cream.
I had my surgery in Jan this year and now all is well. I had antibiotic cream for one month but also used iodine afterwards to keep wound clean. I found some sexy underwear on Amazon with a penis pouch. Worn with jogging bottoms, this seemed to work ok. I also found the next step of incontinence pads inside underwear meant I could wear normal clothes to go out. The reply about tight underwear is ok but I wouldn't until week 6. After 2 months you can wear tight underwear but not too tight trousers. After 2.5 months you will wonder what all the fuss was about. Be patient!
I had my circumcision last Saturday and I’m in the same situation as you xcix99. Pain has gone now but I can’t put any clothes on. When anything touches the head of my penis, the pain literally makes me jolt. How you getting on and what did you do??
Really? I don’t know what to do at all lad. Feels like I’m never going to be able to put clothes on. You tried having a bath? I’m going to do that at some point today, one week after my op. Previously I’ve showered but feel like sitting in water might help
It’s bringing me down because I’m literally fine. Pissing, showering, you name it is absolutely fine apart from wearing clothes. Family came round for my mum’s birthday today and I had to stay in my room because I can’t go anywhere without my hands down my pants. So frustrating
I see you had your circumcision 3 months ago, how is it now? Has the sensitivity diminished? Is it bearable? I am on day 6 and don’t see how it’s gonna go away anytime soon.
Hi, I know this was ages ago for you and hope you’re past this and fully recovered, you’re probs not even logged in but I’m going through same thing, 11 days post op and sensitivity is ridiculous, can’t wear anything. Just wondering if you have any tips on what helped you?
I know that this sounds extreme, but if you rub the head of your penis with rubbing alcohol a couple times a day, it will help dry out the head quicker and get rid of some of the over-sensitivity. I used it after my circ.
I had my op 2 days ago and im building a planet that dosnt have the invention of clothing. It feels like im never going to be able to dress again without wearing the baggiest clothes known to man. The sensitivity only affects me with pressure. I had taken my gauze off within 24hrs, as advised by my doctor. Although i havent been given any spare gauze's to put on after. I am extreemly gently spreading vaseline onto the head, however i tend to give in and just spread where i can until i cannot bear the discoumfort any more. Just seems like im never going to be able to enjoy life again. I would be fine if the sensitivuty would go away...
Bro, it’s been 9 months after my OP, sensitivity has dropped, I can do sports without feeling anything down in my crotch. However, I still can’t touch my penis head or rub it. My clothes have no problem with it, however I can’t master bate using my head as it is too sensitive. It’s been 9 months guys, please send some help
Same here , getting into 2 months now but still don’t enjoy pleasure when I rub the gland of my penis . All this has made me stressed out causing me to have erectile problems
The hypersensitivity lasts mostly 2-3 weeks. Just wrap your penis in a gauze and put it upwards in tight underwear. That way you'll be able to put on clothes and walk around without pain.
Gauze is a thin, translucent fabric with a loose open weave. It is especially useful for dressing wounds where other fabrics might stick to the burn or laceration. Many modern medical gauzes are covered with a plastic porous film such as Telfa or a polyblend which prevents direct contact and further minimizes wound adhesion.
I also did some vaseline on my penis head. That prevents the head from getting chafed and reduces the sensitivity.
Yeah I have gauze bandages and I also have Vaseline but the problem is it hurts if I touch it I just want the sensitivity to go so that I can touch it normally because they is dry blood and it’s quite a mess at the moment around the stitch area but I can’t clean it to good right now
Mines ok now tbh but u should bandage it that way u can where clothes I could not where them at all it was too sensitive but I put a bandage on it and some pads to and it was fine maybe also buy a jockstrap to use for the first few weeks too mate
As soon as it ain’t sensitive anymore it’s fine tbh I could not wrap a bandage round it so I bought some dressing pads from amazon and a load of gauze bandages and just put it on not very neat then I could not feel sensitive at all and a jockstrap as well and boxers on top it will work bro
Cool Man U should it defo works I’m all good now I don’t even feel one bit of pain during sex at all now it’s all good totally worth it and just don’t make the same mistake I did tho I had sex 5 days after getting it done and it started bleeding and got infected so just don’t do that mate but yeah mines good now
Same thing happening to me right now, today is the 7th day after the op and as this post was a year ago could you tell me how you were able to wear clothes because I just cannot right now
