After circumcision.

I had circumcision 10 days ago. The stitches are gone. There is formation of puss and swelling. Is it serious?

I would dip it in a beaker of warm salt water and use a cotton bud to remove the yellow gunk. Sometimes the gunk from the frenulum area is not puss but looks like it. The swelling suggests you may have an infection if it's recent swelling in the last day or so. Pat the area dry and apply an antibiotic ointment twice a day. You could also try a cold compress to reduce the swelling. If it persists or gets worse see your GP as you may need a course of antibiotic tablets as well.

If you have no pain then it suggests it may not be infected. But keep an eye on it. Bathing it in salt water should help keep it clean and promote healing.

I would get that checked out for some antibiotics... just my opinion

No I have the added complication of enlarged prostate which means I have a catheter in. No baths allowed. I'm sure it's ok otherwise but not to hot,no soap. Add some salt.

every day for 20minutes. i added 2 capfuls of dettol to the water also. When in the water i used ear buds to help loosen the gunk and that improved my healing. I also only used paper towels to dry it and nothing else as i didnt want to risk touching it with anything else. afterwards i would lie down and let it air as much as possible. at home i wore a sarong to allow less pressure of clothing to it.

I dont know as there is no foul smell in my case.
