RAW after circumcision

RAW! I had a circumcision 22nd December. The gland (bell end) is now extremely red and raw. Scabs then as I shower it softens. Then it becomes unbearable to touch. Anyone else had similar symptoms?

I got circumcised on the 12th of December for tight foreskin and my glans had never seen the light of day so if yours is a similar case then it’s completely normal and it’ll start to get less sensitive soon enough don’t worry!

I assume you couldn't retract your foreskin and that is why you had a circumcision done. Your penis glans is not used to not being covered by the foreskin and is super sensitive and it will be for a while.

As for the scab (a whiteish/yellowish mucus like substance forming on your glans), what I did was to keep it moist (not wet) with a gauze and vaseline. Keeping it moist (not letting it dry, form a solid scab and break whenever the glans gets enlarged, leading to pain and minor bleeding as from any scab) will make it more bearable and might help it recover quicker.

Not much else you can do about it other then wait and keep your glans protected. For me it was using a gauze on the penis head that was covered in vaseline (pharmaceutical vaseline, so no added fragrance or anything else, just pure vaseline) so the gauze protects the head yet gives it "slight" training for friction plus the vaseline keeps the scab moist and also makes sure the gauze doesn't get stuck on your glans making it annoying to remove.

What your experiencing is normal your glans is open to the elements and drying out/hardening before to start with it flakes and scabs then begins to shine and returns to normal. Don’t use Vaseline you want it to try out not continue to be saturated.

im 7th week post operation, i find post sex or masturbation the head is super sensitive and red, almost to the point of unbearable when it touches any clothing before calming down a day or two later..

the head is really red post sex/masterbation wondering how long it lasts for...

Same experience. My op was 2nd Jan and i have the scabs etc but i think its normal.

19th of December here so 4 weeks in. It gets better, I had some awful scabs on the end, they have all gone now. It does get better. Sensitivity will be an issue for quite some time I think but it will improve

It’ll be 4 weeks on Friday for me and still not much improvement with a third of the gland unbearable to touch. Looks like it’ll be back to the urologist for me. I’ve discovered there are notes in my file that my circumcision was ‘complicated’ this being that part of my foreskin was stuck to my gland. Ouch! I think this will Mean my recovery period will be substantially longer.

I hope not too long for you, it's a horrible sensation having to walk around aware of the sensitivity. Fingers crossed for you mate
