I'm 13 and am experiencing mtwo penis problems-someone please help!

Lets start, I have varioceles on both testicles and would love to get them sorted out but don't have the confidence to go to the doctors and get checked out for that kind of thing-any help?

I seem to have an unnaturally long foreskin, I can not pull it back when erect- any help?

Thank you so so much to anyone who helps me with my situation.

Hi, You seem to have a couple of things going on here, possibly linked, probably not.

The best advice I would give is go see your Doctor. Do not worry they have seen it all before. And speaking from experience, your embarrassment does not last and knowing what is wrong is a relief as it is usually not as bad as you think.

If you do not want to see your GP go to a walk in. In either case you should take a chaperone, this does not have to be a parent, though I advise telling them, just a responsible adult who you trust. It can even be someone else in the surgery and should be offered.

On my first visit a nurse acted as chaperone, which just meant her standing at the door, not actually examining you.

Good Luck

The thing is though my mum and dad would then know, because they would have to drive me and I'm too embarrassed to tell them, but thanks anyways!

It maybe that your "problems " are within normal limits.

There is no defined 'natural length ' of the foreskin

Steroid creams may help soften the foreskin and combined with gentle retraction enable it to be pulled back.

You won't get these 'problems ' sorted without seeing your doctor though, so if they bother you sufficiently you will have to inform your parent/ doctor.

Dear 009090

How do you know you have varicoceles if you have never been to a doctor's? Just throw away your shame and go, if possible alone. When you are showing your genital apparatus to a doctor, your shame will disappear! I can assure you! I have done it a lot of time for different reasons (prostatitis, epididimitis, hematuria...). The doctors are very well used to see ANY part of the body, so they will not put any discomfortable attention to your genitals. I understand your feeling, anyway. When I was a child, I was phimotic, and my paediatrician checked my foreskin every visit, and I was a little bit, you know, discomfortable at this. But, just go, and your feelings will disappear. As Goldfish says, there is no "normal" length of the foreskin, but at your age you should be able to retract it to show all the glans. If you cannot, don't force it. See the doctor for advice. Phimosis may cause you some pain in your sexual life, and can make your hygiene less complete.

As for the varicoceles is concerned, go to the doctor. He will make the correct diagnosis (i.e. if you actually have varicocele or you just think of having it!). In case you have it, the doctor willl advice you to solve the problem, because long-term varicoceles is connected with problems of infertility.

So, don't worry too much, but go to the doctor's and explain your problems. He will find the best solution for you.

There is no reasons to be ashamed. Your situation is quite common. I served the Italian army for an year as a nurse. I saw A LOT of young people (about 18-22 year-old) with problem similar to yours.

You should see a Dr as soon as possible. Having untreated varicoceles might lead to infertility in future. You are still very young and only the Dr is trained to diagnose possible future health problems.

Foreskin length is a positive thing what you didn't say is whether you can fully uncover manually the glans whet your penis is erect. If you have further questions either post here or else pm. As a healthcare professional I will try to answer you the best I can according to evidence based practice
