Please help! Unknown marking on penis.

Just noticed this today when I got a foul smell from the head of my penis when I used the restroom. It does not itch or feel any pain when I touch it. Nor does it burn to pee or any discharge. Going to call my doctor to set up an appointment for it but would like your guys opinion so I don’t worry myself too much. Thank you.

Hi my penis looked exactly the same almost like it was shredding itself but soon after my foreskin lost it’s elasticity and I had to be circumcised so it wasn’t diagnosed as no one could see it but since being circumcised I’ve had no issues it’s not sore or itchy anymore.

Wow really? So there might be a chance I might have to be circumcised lol? I sort of don’t want that to happen but I’m happy it isn’t anything serious. Thanks again Ryan! You helped me before and really do appreciate it.

Yes that’s how mine started but it looks exactly the same as mine did it’s a shame they never got chance to see it do diagnose it. I may not have been circumcised if I hadn’t left it so long. I’m not saying it’s going to be the same in your case but I suggest seeing a doctor as you don’t want to end up circumcised if it can be prevented. If circumcision is the case for you it’s really not that bad the first two weeks are tough and painful but before you know it your back at it 👍

Hey Ryan, update. Clear slimy discharge. Is that an indication of anything? No smell to it at all. My girl and I were talking dirty so i got an erection and than it went away lol. Not sure if maybe that might of been the case for the discharge 😅

I’m not sure on that one mate but clear slimes discharge sounds like pre sperm/pre cum I’m sure someone will correct me on the actual term used but it’s normal if you go aroused 😂

Nope. Got tested before having intercourse with a new girl and she also got tested and we both clean. I didn’t have a whole bunch of little red dots before that was itchy but that went away with daily cleaning with warm water. And I thought it was balanitis but never really went to the doctors for it because I had the same situation happen a few years back with the first girl I lost my virginity too and it went away with xtra hygiene cleaning of my penis. Thank you so much for the input! Was just worried it might be something else serious.

Balanitis is nearly always a yeast infection. Treatment is generally by an application of a cream which kills the yeast. Antibiotics don’t work on it, and, in fact, can be the cause. The preputial space (inside foreskin) is kept healthy by friendly bacteria. If you take an antibiotic for any reason, you risk killing those bacteria, allowing to small population of yeast which are already present to proliferate. This also commonly occur by too agressive cleaning. Soap should not be used to clean inside the foreskin, just clear water. A third way of getting it would be from sexual contact with an infected partner. Rarely, it’s a sign of diabetes.

The picture appears to be a possibilty of a yeast infection. Your doctor should be able to tell. Circumcision is not an honest method of treatment.

Wow thanks for the much neededed information. Really do appreciate it! I did take antibiotics not too long ago for my wisdom tooth and finished all of them. Do you think that might be the reason than? And before I was cleaning my penis with soap but have stopped not too long ago. And i has a full blood work done and I’m pretty healthy besides borderline high blood pressure and high hemoglobin which the doctor said it’s not a big deal.

Yessir I do think so. Common Athlete’s Foot Cream with Clotrimazole should cure it in a few days. Apply twice per day for about ten days. No need to use soap or to rinse more than once per day. It’s a myth that bacteria inside the foreskin need to be removed. Women often use plain yogurt to restablish the bacterial colony when they get yeast. Eating it will help with needed stomach bacteria as well. Avoid bare sexual contact until this is clear.

Got it. Thank you so much. And it’s sort of too late with avoiding bare sexual contact until it’s is clear 😅 but my girl understands that it might be a yeast infection but so far she is fine. If anything she will get it taken care of.

Let us know how it goes. Without lab tests, there is no certainty, but the way it looks, it’s a good bet I’d take.

Looks like you might be washing with soap. Stop the soap and apply coconut oil.
