I have known about this problem for a while but i have been too worried to go get it checked, I am 19 and my foreskin only retracts a very small amount it doesn't even expose the head i am writing to ask should i contact my GP?

Hey JRSnow, yup - it sounds like to go to see your GP and get this sorted, as it won't sort itself and you run a risk of infection, a smelly foreskin, pain, a ripped foreskin, you're missing out on a lot of pleasure and all of the above are far more important than your embarrassment - this is your health! If it would help as a first step to go to a sexual health clinic - who are always checking out dicks and checking for social diseases - then do that first, just so you've whipped it out and had an opinion and are more prepared to see your GP. If you'd rather see a male doctor, or not your regular GP, then ask for that. I wouldn't go straight for a circumcision (if that's what they suggest) as there are other options.
