post circumsission - Frenulum

i’m on day 11 after having circumcision due to penile adhesions. All was going OK but on day 8 i think I got infection which i’m now on antibiotics for. Everything looks pretty normal but on the head on the underside where the frenulum was it’s now just very swollen below the stitches. Firstly has anyone else had this and how long did it take for the swelling to go down ? and my other point is where my frenulum was it was a very sensitive spot (in a good way) and it was a defined Y shaped profile if that makes sense but I’m not sure the shape will return to that original shape again once the swelling has gone and if not will I still feel that sensation from that area the way I used to?

if you have had the frenulum removed then you will not have the advantage of its nerves.

hi. The frenulum area is always stubborn healing. Mine took a while. Just keep up the gentle salt water rinsing to promote healing and prevent infection.

Thanks for this. Was your ex frenulum area very “puffy” or was it just sore? When you washed with salt water did you just pour the water over or did you use something to wipe it with?

Hi. It was puffy/swollen and kept bleeding a tiny bit overnight. My technique for salt bathing was to add 4 tablespoons salt in a glass of boiled, cooled water (pint glass if you're blessed with a big... then just dip it in and swill it around for a few minutes. Don't wipe or rub, then after let air dry without rinsing.
