yep, week 9!! To those reading if your first one as I always do and give context, I was cut on the UK NHS due to tight foreskin when erect only.
I think this will be another short one, felt like not a lot of change in the past week although I’m sure was and I just didn’t realise. Still that ring swelling between scar line and head of penis. Hopefully is going down, I think is in some areas but the frenulum area is being a right stubborn one! Really looking forward to that going as dont like seeing it like it and when go for a bit of a longer walk it’s that swelling under frenulum that begins to flare and cause a bit of friction. And like others just after masturbation the swelling flares up a tad more but just for a few hours, max a day and then settles to how was before.
not sure I’ve got a lot more to say this week, hopefully it is just continuous healing from now and eventual the swelling will go and I’ll stop thinking about my penis what feels like every minute haha. I’m gonna do these updates another 3 times so up to week 12 as a few further milestones coming up including a need to wear jeans this upcoming weekend to visit a bar for mates birthday, so will let you know how that goes next Monday. So good to hear you're healing up well - all sounds very familiar, especially the swelling after having a shuffle. I'd imagine by week 12 a lot of the swelling will have gone... but you never can tell with the frenulum, it's always the last bit to feel healed judging by others experiences on this very forum. Good to see your updates are still coming.
Hey, thanks and yeah think on whole healing well. Yeah I’m hoping next few weeks most the swelling will have gone but yep is a bit of a game of patience waiting to see when that frenulum area decides the swelling isn’t needed haha.
There's a lot of nerves (pleasure and pain) back there... so let it do it's thing. As a circed man myself I'm so pleased it wasn't removed and was simply divided during the op.
Oh my frenulum was gone pre op, I had an incident before (without being grim) years ago and it never came back so still not there lol. But yeah lots of nerves etc so hopefully they’ll figure themselves out soon and stop the swelling haha
Interesting. I think we're on a very similar timeline - mid Dec for me. Do you have swelling and hardness that seems a good few mm deep around urethra opening? I used steroids for that frenulum damage - worked pretty well.
Hello! Don’t think so around the urethra opening, just that ring between the scar line and bottom of the head of the penis. And then that little bit more at frenulum area, oooh interesting on steroids, my GP said just to leave it and it should sort itself out over time

Week 6 for me, healing seems fine, still a bit of swelling, especially around the bottom at the frenulum but expect that to reduce in time.
I still have the ring of inner foreskin left between the scar and glans, but it may be going down as that is slightly covered at the top, so it may be reducing, but hard to tell.
Pain wise, a bit of pain in the last day or so around the scar at one point, but no swelling or redness- probably just nerves re- attaching, with the occasional nipping pain and some itching. Might even be looser underwear allowing rubbing.
Sensitivity and clothing - I more or less went cold turkey and wore normal underwear and jeans from week 3 and now I’m not even aware of having been circumcised- it feels exactly like before- walking, doing the garden and diy etc. all feel comfortable and normal.
Hey, thanks and what youve written I am relating to all, yep the exact same swelling so that ring and that stubborn frenulum area. Feels like its taking ages to go but do think im with you, its not massively noticeable but progress slowly being made. And yep still get that nipping/sort of vibrating feeling which yeah I think same as you just nerves reattaching and sorting themselves out, and its mainly in that frenulum area so where the swelling is most predominant. Hopefully not much longer to go
Cant remember the exact name for it but just under the head, the head is out fully when erect and most the time is out flaccid now but sometimes like a 5-10% covering
don’t know the kind of cut, but it seems pretty close to the glans, the head became visible at all times for me about 1 week after surgery.
To contradict what I just said, I’ve recently noticed the external foreskin slightly covering the very end of the glans (corona?) in one part but only when flaccid, and not all the time. When erect the glans is 100% uncovered.
To me that seems to be a sign the ‘donut’ swelling of the inner foreskin that’s left is finally going down and it’s working like it did before. If it goes down and it’s slightly covered when flaccid, I’ll definitely be happy with that.
