About 7 months ago I had a circumcision to deal with phimosis. I had what might be termed a low and loose circumcision, meaning that I ended up with about 50% coverage of the glans when flaccid. Everything healed well but we took out time returning to intercourse. What I have found is that during intercourse I can feel the frenulum being tugged on and it is slightly painful (even with plenty of lube) and the next day it is sore. I believe the circumcision may have created a case of frenulum breve.
Has anyone experienced this outcome and did it resolve itself over time (naturally stretching) or did manual stretching plus steroids help? If not was cutting the frenulum necessary and did it have adverse impacts?

Hi there, was circumcised 8 months ago, 41 years old. Yeah, I noticed some tightness back there the first few times I had sex after the op, but it has stretched out over the last 5 months more. We all heal at different rates and certain areas take longer to heal than others. Keep and eye on it and speak to you GP if needs be.
I suggest if you get a chance please read all my concerns I posted some months ago when I had a similar procedure almost two years ago. You are lucky to have an erection, however, I am completely, totally and wholly grounded after the procedure. Nothing has helped me. Please do read, I have been completed traumatised, left me with unthinkable and unimaginable state, life has been ruined. Wish you all the best.
No, conventional surgery with a scalpel and stitches. I think the issue is with balancing the length of retained foreskin below the frenulum with that around the rest of the glans. When the rest of the skin is pulled back during a "thrust" the skin on the underside is a little shorter and all the tug is concentrated through the frenulum. It settled down in about 24 hours. Now I just have to see if a little gentle stretching helps before going back to the urologist.
Normally we hear in our media that some of the people who were treated in some other countries, upon their return, they are now being treated in the UK under the NHS as the procedures were botched up. You do not expect that when you are treated in the UK (privately), the NHS has to pick up all the bills and I am now being treated under the NHS. Before the procedure, I was some some 75% to 80% active, had erections all the time, now I am 100% inactive, completely, totally and wholly grounded, no feelings left in my penis as if it is dead as stone.
Not yet, but I'll schedule an appointment with the urologist who performed the circumcision if it doesn't settle down. I prefer to gather what information I can first so I can be orepared to ask the right questions.
