3 month post circumcision and frenuloplasty balloon swelling still

I was partially circumcised over 3 months ago, I found out about a month after when I visited the surgeon because I was concerned about the swelling that I also had an unplanned frenuloplasty because I had a short frenulum. So far my circumcision has healed perfectly but my frenulum is still massively swollen.

The surgeon told me that in 6 months the swelling would go away, but I get nervous still because I can’t find anything even close to that timeline online.

When erect it’s like a big lump but without being erect it is hugely swollen and is bigger than the head of my penis poking out. Initially after surgery it was like a balloon but over time it has become more defined with smaller bumps appearing.

Has anyone else gone through this? If so, what was your experience? Does it really take 6 months and does it actually go away? I’m very concerned despite what the surgeon told me, if anyone has any experience with this it would really put my mind at ease to know more about it!

Hey, I am on my 7th day of circumcision. Same problems I have. Bleeding Little bit, whitish discharge and swelling below the glans and above the stapler ring. Are you applying any cream or powder ? I read Neosprin powder is good to use.

Okay. With what method your circumcision was done ? Stapler or the conventional way ?

just the normal way mate, I’m on day 6 now and it’s still weeping and a bit of blood at the back of it but doesn’t look as much as yesterday, still very swollen no sign of that going down yet

yeah I had bleeding around that time too. Seem to pull stitches a bit during night erections. It will sting for a few days but it seems to be normal. You’re still very early into it. Takes about 6 weeks to totally heal

hi thanks for the reply, yeah that’s what’s worrying me, it’s more like clear fluid coming out now near where the swollen skin is just above the head, I’m starting to regret it and I keep worrying with me having a infection too but the tablets should sort that out, when do u think it will start to get better

for me i think it was delicate for about a month, but then I had another operation at the same time so I still have that to contend with but the circumcision itself is totally healed. I regretted it too at the start, but within six weeks all those issues should go away. `totally normal bodily responses to a wound. Honestly, just wait 6 weeks and you will be 100%

honestly, the worst part is the sensitivity of the head. But once that goes away, everything else is long healed.

ok thanks mate you are putting my mind at rest, I’m at that stage where I’m thinking why did I have it done, the skin at bottom of my penis looks really swelled today when do you think that should go down and is that nothing to worry about either

swelling is super natural. Just think you’ve been cut, the area will swell as blood rushes to it and heals it. There might be discharge as it expels stuff etc. Honestly nothing to worry about. It just needs time. I can’t really remember exactly when my swelling went away, it lasted for a good amount of the time but everyone is different in that respect. The main thing is that everyone gets it and it will go away as you heal.

thanks very much for all your help mate, last question the foreskin they have left is cover some of my head is that just cause of the swelling and the skin will move further down once it’s gone

well I had a partial circumcision done so I still have some foreskin covering mine. But I’d imagine the swelling easing will help yours
