Hi all, here again with another update on my healing. 9 weeks today since my full circumcision!!! I can’t believe how fast it’s gone, despite it feeling like it was taking forever at the time… but isn’t that the way with any surgery? Before I get going, special thanks to those experienced members who’ve offered advice, support and direct contact over the past 9 weeks - you’ve made everything easier by sharing your advice and time.
So, where am I at 9 weeks? Well, this last week has been the first where I’ve felt back to my old self in my mind, yet still aware that my body is still healing and that I’ve made a lot of progress getting to grips with my new penis (more on that later). I’ll break it down…
Aesthetics - I love how my new penis looks. As tissue calms down and continues to settle, the more I love how my new fella looks. When flaccid he looks like my old penis without a jumper on, and when up on full hydraulics he looks like a porn star cock (although not giant, I’m a grower so it always looks more impressive when up… I’m thinking about an OnlyFans career once I’m healed - as if). But I’m so happy with how smooth he looks. There’s still a visible scar line, in some places a bit red, but mainly just a join between pink and darker skin. Any regrets I had in the early days are beginning to fade away. He still feels a bit odd when on the way up - like the top is going to fall off - but once up that feeling is gone and it’s just there in front of me. Considering I’ve never seen my whole penis erect - I had phimosis that prevented rolling back when erect and preputial adhesions that hid half my glands when rolled back flaccid - I feel like this is how he was meant to look. So, all good there. 😀
Rubbing 'n' Redness - This is the main issue that I battle with daily, and I know I’m not alone. Circ bros will know that when you transition back to underwear full time it’s gonna rub on your glands and the flesh around it as you get used to the fabric. So, yeah, it rubs and sometimes goes a bit red on the pink flesh above the scar that sits just below my glands. Vaseline and coconut oil have proved themselves 100 times over, as does getting him out and airing him out at the end of the day. When working from home, I usually sit on my office chair (with a towel down) without any pants on at all - full on Porky Pigging it. It is what it is, and at this stage of healing, I know it’s all about time and continued exposure to fabric and air that will sort the redness. Can’t rush it, just gotta let it play out. So, it’s not all good here, but it’s manageable and I’ve found my way to deal with it. I can’t emphasise enough, too, how just leaving it alone and not fiddling with it helps with the healing and feeling normal again. 🤔
Swelling - It’s still swollen in places, particularly at night when all the blood in my lower body seems to want to be in my penis. He feels semi-hard from around 6pm to 9pm and that’s how it’s going these days. I guess this will slowly sort itself out over time, and the more I move about and keep the blood flowing the better it will get. The frenulum area (round the back in general) is the only place it’s swollen all day (although it smooths out really nicely when up). But, the swelling has massively reduced over the 9 weeks, to the point where it’s all beginning to look more normal - although I know it’s still got a ways to go. My doc said around 3-6 months, but I’ve learned that the average timings are more of a guide than gospel, so I’m just keeping an eye and being happy when it looks better. For a couple of days after I’ve had a handy shandy he feels particularly swollen and a bit achey, but it passes fast - so I’m only really seeing to myself if it feels right. Had a handy shandy yesterday… probably won’t do it again for at least 3-5 days and only then if it feels right. My wife and I are raring to try him out properly in a couple weeks - I decided I need a bit more time before I go that far. She’s been so supportive and patient, and I obviously have rewarded that support with some of my own. Cheeky! So, still swollen at times, but definitely managing this aspect of the healing process okay. 😜
If I had any questions for the wider group they would be:
- Redness 'n' Rubbing: I feel like this is something I'll be dealing with for a fair few months yet as my willy learns to deal with all the new sensations and fabrics - am I right to assume that?
- Swelling: The bit around my frenulum just feels like it's never going to go down, but I assume it will and I just have to be patient, right?
But, to sum up… he’s looking better every day, slowly but surely sorting himself out, and I’m feeling in a better place with the whole thing by far. Sure, I have the odd panic here and there, but am able to be more rational and reach out to members here if needed. I feel like I’m at that stage of healing where it’s just slowly improving and only the odd annoyance flares up from time-to-time.
