If you live in UK, you can contact your GP and ask for help. Stretching with steroid cream is primary solution.

I had the same problem, I was recommended topical steroids. Speak to your GP about it but I found the process frustrating and and according to my Urologist a circumcision is likely your best option.

The penile skin responds well to stretching. Just 3 sessions of 5 min each will cure your problem in a short time.

Hi Kevin, it important to be able to retract your foreskin and clean every day. Firstly you should visit your doctor and have things checked out. they can prescribe some steroid cream which would help with stretching. This can take a while but try it and see how it goes. if it doesn't improve then go back to your doctor. you may need to consider having a circumcision then. All the best

A lot of lads of your age are discovering that they are suffering from phimosis (the inability to freely retract their foreskin over the rim of the glans, especially when erect).

An oft touted cure is to stretch the skin outwards with nthe help of steroid creams that thin the skin. However, after puberty is complete the foreskin has thickened and many lads find that attempting to stretch it is a wate of time and effort.

You can, of course, try this for yourself if you wish. Your GP can prescribe the steroid cream that you will need. However, there is no reason why you shouldn't go straight to getting circumcised, which is often necessary when the creams and stretching fail. In that case you can start by talking to your GP or you can go straight to one of the specialist circumcisiion clinics who will do it for you as you wish.

None of us on here are qualified doctors, so we cannot give you 'medical advice', especially so as we also cannot examine you to determine how bad your phimosis is.

Can I ask what the reason for not getting surgery. I was the same.I really didn’t want to get fully circumcised. My doctor just said it’s that or nothing.

After a few year of trying to stretch and not getting any results I paid for a private doctor/surgeon to have a look.

He explained the white tissue at the ring was scar tissue and unlikely be able to be stretch, do you have this.

If no scar tissue (or even if you do), look up phimosis stretching techniques.

Go slowly, the stretch should feel similar to putting your fingers in your mouth and gently stretching your lips outwards.

If you go to quick you can cause tears which you should wait to heal.

As none of that worked for me, the private doctor said we can try a partial circumcision with preputioplasty.

It’s been a year since having it done. I’m relatively happy, still have a foreskin. They did say it’s a 50/50 chance of it working but it’s the option between stretching and full circumcision.

I'm concerned that you haven't been clear what your problem is. As a result you have a rather confusing selection of replies that give you all the pssible options as solutions, but without knowing what exactly was bothering you. Can you retract when flaccid? Do you have pain? Are you only concerned that it looks wrong? Are you bothered that you can't clean properly or have intercourse or masturbate comfortably? Do you have smell or even infection? I believe it's perfectly possible that someone whose foreskin doesn't retract can lead a normal life as long as it isn't causing other problems such as cutting off blood supply to the tip of the penis when it has retracted but won't roll back over the end of the penis to cover it again. - and how it looks should be the last aspect to be concerned about.

Top answer from bexy there. Pulling back as much as possible whilst in the bath or shower and holding for a few seconds will help to stretch the foreskin and will also help in keeping the area clean. I couldn't pull back until well into my twenties. never had a problem with sex or masturbating, except it did pull back once unexpectedly which was a little painful !At the time Doc' said as I could pull back whilst flaccid even though with some discomfort surgery was not advised.

I did have a circ' some years later for a different reason.

Good luck

Use simple "stretching" exercises ... Google for instructions, and don't rely on expensive "creams", which only thin your skin, unnecesarily, and don't rely on doctors, who will probably often suggest amputation.
