Do you have stitches on incision site or glue? If you have stitches the idea is not to have a bathtub until the wound is healed and there is no discharge anymore, because your own or family shared bathtub is not clean enough for an "open wound". Your skin has "normal flora" which spread to bath..

It does not mean not to clean yourself or have a shower 24-48 hours post-op. (Table)salt bath in a bowl or tea mug just for you penis if fine too, but not if you have glue used.

Hey bro the doctor told me not to have a bath for at least 2 days after then I took a bath straight after I’m on day 19 some times I’d miss having a bath for 2 days to let it get some air to it and heal better and to be fair I recon having a bath helps it heal as u need to keep it clean

What the doctor meant was that don’t get your wound wet. So you have to figure out how to bathe without getting your penis and bandages wet.

I have seen a few methods used:

- wearing a condom. This doesn’t work well because the condom is snug and can cause some pain due to the pressure as it wraps around. The penis.

- using cling wrap - this doesn’t too well with lots of with water.

- using a large zip lock type plastic bag and taping it over covering your penis and scrotum - perhaps use waterproof surgical tape to seal it and then bathe.

Keep a roll of toilet or Mitch paper roll handy - if the bandage does get wet, as soon as you are done showering undo the plastic wrapping and dry the bandage completely. Some doctors give extra bandage and gauze to wrap the scarred penis properly in new dry dressing and bandage. Remember to wrap it very snugly. And tape it up properly.

Just avoid getting wound wet by loose wrapping into some plastic sheet. That's what doctor meant. Happy healing.
