Hi Hagar. Do you mean a flexible cystoscopy? If so, I have one every year following the removal of a small transitional carcinoma from my bladder. You will probably have a local anaesthetic gel squirted into the urethra which will deaden any pain. It is slightly uncomfortable, and you may experience light bleeding and stinging when you urinate. In my experience, this lasts at the most for about 36 hours, but often for less. I've now had six of these procedures and can assure you that they are nothing at all to worry about. Good luck! Sine
I had the same procedure twice. Once under full anaesthetic (urinated blood for a couple of days after), second time under local - there was no blood but it stung a bit and was really uncomfortable for me. I didn't like it but im really sensitive.
