Small white "ring" below glands during recovery after circumcision (5 weeks in)

Hello.

As per title, during week 4 or so I started seeing a white line/ring when washing just right after the glands. I'm thinking it might be smegma but it doesn't smell bad or anything and I thought that this only appeared if you didn't wash properly?. That area kind of "tickles" as well.

Anyway, wondering if someone else has experienced the same thing. I'm a "grower" so my circumcision was done high and when flaccid, the glands is still partially covered, so I wonder if that's why this substance is appearing!?

I'm still using triple antibiotic cream (i.e. neosporin) even though I don't think I need to use it anymore? So maybe that's contributing as well?

Anyway just wanted to know if others have seen that before.

I have the same thing (currently 11 days post circumcision) but mine was visible from the beginning. It was actually quite swollen and prominent on the right side under the glans for almost a week and is starting to go down now.

Like you I was concerned so I went to get it checked out the day after my operation. The urologist said it was nothing to be concerned about and that it would go away with time.

I'd recommend going to get it checked out just to be sure.

Its the dead skin that grows up.. Due to the healing ointment you apply. I had as well and it keeps on decreasing.. I am on day 23 and its still sensitive and got some of the stitches left. More 2-3 weeks i supposed

Thanks. Yeah, it is kind of weird. At first I didn't see any of it, and once I saw it I thought it was smegma but it doesn't smell so got confused. Maybe it is part of the skin still trying to get well. Thanks.
