I got circumcised a few days ago, I was under general anaesthetic. Fair amount of blood and discomfort and I have noticed that I wasn’t given a clean cut circumcision. Is this normal ? I can see the gland but there is still plenty of foreskin left over. Will this go down when swelling goes if not I don’t know if I’m happy with the appearance etc.

It's too early to tell what the final result will look like. It's only a few days since you were cut and you'll still have a lot of swelling, so you need to wait for that to go down before making a judgement. Did you have a conversation with your surgeon about the style of cut you were getting?

no we did not, just simply said a circumcision. I am also bleeding quite a bit and have had to change underwear 3 times. Is this normal? There has also been some grouped blood which looks like clots coming from inside the remainder of foreskin. Is this normal ?

I didn't get any options either. It's more than 4 years since mine but I don't remember much bleeding. Did you get a support number to call or see your GP to get some advice and reassurance?

I have seen a urologist and he said it is normal although there was a lot of blood and said if it continues over weekend, to go back. It hurt a lot when he pulled the remainder of my foreskin back and it was the first and only time I have seen my stiches since and he said everything looked fine.

This is not the forum to discuss styles, appearance etc. It is only for health issues such as your bleeding and swelling. Hopefully your circumcision will have got rid of whatever penis health problem you had.

Very early days, probably lots of swelling to contend with right now. Time will tell and I'm sure you'll feel better as the time passes. You got this!
