Circumcision Update 4 Months Later. - Sexual sensation Massive decrease

I've posted a few times but now that everything seems to have settled down there I have now realised that I have had huge decrease in sexual sensitivity, compared to what it was anyway. Maybe 80% reduction

Whilst this is upsetting I do understand it was one of the risks of the procedure to clear up a longstanding issue of phimosis/Linchens.

Erections have improved drastically and Im happy with the appearance and i seem to last longervbut orgasms are not what they used to be unfortunately.

As you can imagine this sucks having this issue at 40 and wanting to start a family.

The penis head still feels very numb, dont feel anything. The scarline feels sore and when i actually orgasm the sensation just feels like a small rush but not enjoyable at all. Im assuming lots of nerve endings have been removed and this is now a permanent thing.

I am happy that the pain and discomfort is mostly gone but sex isnt what it used to be.

So anyone whos thinking of getting the snip done i can confirm that there is a chance your orgasms get massively impacted in a negative way, all the warnings I read on here before the op were actually true.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I believe that keratinisation of the glans post operation and the excision of nerve tissue during the operation may play a role in this. I am, however, not a doctor nor is this my area of research.

I was lucky enough to have kept most of my frenulum in tact, so while my head has desensitised a lot, the frenulum is still providing pleasure during sex. I find my orgasms from masturbation are slightly stronger. It may be that some of your nerves are still healing and rewiring themselves to the new normal. It does take time... I fully believe it when people say it takes 6 months for physical healing, and a further 6 for aesthetic healing. I'm at nearly 12 months healed now and things are still changing.

If it’s something you would consider, get your frenulum pierced. Sex and masturbation move up to the next level!

Definitely something to think about... but for the time being I've had enough of people playing about with and cutting bits off my penis. 😂

I’m sorry that you’re having that experience. I don’t know how but my snip worked perfectly I really love sex more than ever and I still have a lot of sensitivity even when bathing or wearing clothes I can feel it which can be annoying at times cause I need to go slow and it’s been 6 years now.

Yeah same thing. It was never as pleasurable afterwards. However, the inability to reach orgasm will go, it just takes a little adjustment. Ultimately, it is the trade off. I had it for the same reason and figure it is better to be able to have sex than not because for the pain when you get an erection. Plus it does feel/smell cleaner.

But no, if I didn't absolutely need it. Not a chance I'd have it done.
