Hey, man, today I am starting my 6th month. I was circumcised on November 26th and I still have decent swelling. If you want you can check the pics on my post. I have only one post on my profil.
So I mean that it's different by every person. Some guys need more time to recover, some organisms are faster. It depends, we are all different. Sometimes the lymphs are damaged, which causes lymphedema. This takes more more time for recovery. I have seen posts/comments that even after a year you can have this swelling. I think that this happens to me unfortunately.
thanks for reply! but do u a sensitive glans issue after circumcision? this annoys me for a while now and still have to use gauze bandages to cover the tip. How long will it take for the glans to fully healed?
From the photo, it does not seem that you have balanitis, This is also very uncommon if circumcised.
You appear to have a lot of spare skin on your shaft, which you seem to be pulling back. Does it come onto the glans when you are flaccid?
The glans of most newly circumcised adult penises tends to be overly sensitive to ordinary, everyday touch since it has been cooped up in the foreskin for years. The glans needs to be able to fully contact clothing, your hand, a washcloth, etc as much as possible to enable it to adjust to being exposed. This is something you just have to grin and bare I'm afraid.
At week 5 I had the same thing. I stopped putting vaseline/ointment as to help dry out the glans. I also started using a sports cup with jock strap and wrapping my penis in gauze and gentle grip tape so I can walk and go outside. I noticed that my glans is getting tougher day by day.
Today starts week 8. I am still wrapping the glans, but trying not to use the cup as I have more desensitivity going on. This is to help get use to more pressure from my jeans. Eventually I'll stop using wrapping.
For me, I know it's going to be a slower healing process. I may get there longer than 6 weeks, but I will get there.
