Think I need another procedure after 5 weeks post circumcision

Had a circumcision done about 5 weeks ago due to years of philmosis, the doctor could only do what he done at the time and still I cannot expose the head, the foreskin is still too tight around the top and underneath the skin has grown on to the head and has not been separated.

I'm wondering how long guys have gone before waiting for it to heal before going back for further surgery and doing a good cosmetic job, before the procedure the foreskin used to tear and now being still attached to the head I'm afraid that it will still tear the same as before.

Do I go to a plastic surgeon or risk going back to the original doctor who said after doing the job that " well it's better than it was before, everyone's different".

Which makes me feel like I'm not different but infact a second quality man. Not great for my mental health.

Definitely go to another doctor i had a circumcision done 3 months ago due to phimosis and im stil having a few problems scar line ect but mine didnt look like that after 5 weeks

Cheers, I'll go to another doctor,seems to me that I only got half a job done, crazy thing is I paid to go private and was told it was a simple procedure however it looks like a partial circ

Normally you may wait about 6 months post-op to see what is the result of the op. There is lot of swelling left. It's very difficult to say by a picture anything about your penis anatomy. How wide or meaty is your frenulum area now/before?

The scar is very tight at least first 3 months and can prevent you to retract the remnant of the foreskin over the corona.

Mine was like that for some time but started to come right after about 8 week and is good now.

Cheers, I'll give it a bit longer to heal and hopefully the swelling around scar will get smaller, if after that it's still not retracting below head then I'll have to grow some balls and get it done again,this time by a surgeon.

Hey mate. How u doing after this time? Are u happy with your result? In your pic it looked like a partial circum. Mine looked similar and I'm hoping my foreskin somehow gets less me now being in week 4 post circ. Does the amount of foreskin in your pic still cover your glans as in your pic?

The swelling has gone down but still can't pull what's left below gland, seen a different surgeon last week and he's says that I had bxo? Which looks pre cancerous ! Asked if previous doctor sent off skin for biopsy! Which he didn't.booked in for 14th August for another op, this time surgeon is going to remove as much foreskin as possible to prevent getting penile cancer.

Just waiting until then to get it all fixed . Fingers crossed

Sounds hectic man. Hope u doing ok though. All the best for your next op and turns out well. I'm considering another circumcision as well as it my foreskin covers half my glans although swelling came down a lot, but guess I have to wait till week8 .

Suggest you wait awhile mate. It's far too early at the moment. Leave things to settle for the moment.

I was swollen like that for a 6 weeks and then it eventually settled. It wasn’t an overnight fix. I’m 4 months now and a little sore but sex is normal. Let the swelling go down

The doctor was a Butcher, got a second opinion and had another procedure by a professional urologist . Happy now and all fixed.Guess I learnt if in doubt get a second opinion and don't accept it if your not happy🙂
