Current mood is one of frustration as don’t know whether I am coming or going with whats happening down there. As you can see from the photo I am still severely swollen, I am yet to see any of the stitching on the shaft which is concerning me. The “lips” of my japseye appear very swollen (anyone else experienced this?) also, should I be worried about the white goo which appears on the stitch on my frenulum area? I think tomorrow being day 6 is time to give it a good clean with a luke warm water/sea salt combo, but probably using cotton wool and “dabbing it” as opposed to “dunking” it all in what with the stitches still being covered by the swollen skin. Whilst I expected pain I can’t say I have ever experienced it, mainly just discomfort. Its a very frustrating period right now though

Hasn’t the “wetted ice cubes” recommendation cured the swelling or made any difference at all?
I have done it this afternoon for 30 minutes but I think what its done is make it swell up even more, it felt all strange and puffy and as I have applied a small amount of pressure its started pissing blood from under the swollen skin. Just trying to remain calm but fuck me, this whole experience is a challenging one
Sorry to hear that. It isn’t a remedy that’s promoted by medics for such swelling but more for sprains and sports injuries. My surgeon advised me to keep my penis pointing upwards as much as possible which would assist draining and minimise swelling. I didn’t have any swelling so I guess he knew what he was talking about.
Am just not happy with how mine is looking, its a very depressing period at the moment
I can imagine, time and patience, it’ll be fine and won’t look how it does now for long. Ignore the quack remedies, scare stories and suggestions that are largely unnecessary. You don’t need to do anything or put anything on it unless you get a lot of bleeding or it gets red and inflamed (which if that happened might suggest infection).
Of course, if you’re in any doubts then speak to your doctor.
Mine was swollen like that. I used an ice pack on it often. Around day 30 the swelling finally started going down. The doctor said it was a hematoma.
You have any major bleeding?
Yes it bled constantly for a few weeks, the doctor said that it was a good thing because of the hematoma. They said if it started spurting blood to go the hospital. I wiped off the blood everyday, put polysporin on it, and put some gauze in my underwear.
I wouldn’t worry about your frenulum. I am circumcised and I sometimes have that same white goo. My guess is that you got circumcised because of phimosis? The reason I say this is because sometimes what can happen is that the remaining foreskin can cause irritation and swelling. This would happen if you had a condition that necessitates circumcision in the first place.
How much did they remove? It looks like a partial circumcision. How long was your foreskin before getting cut?
Hi, yes severe phimosis - my surgeon commented after surgery how bad the skin actually was so I don’t think its a partial circumcision. I always felt I had excessive foreskin
It’s interesting, because it looks as if the tip of your foreskin is still their, but obviously it’s not. It appears that the doctor only cut off the problem part because it seems that part of the ridge band is still intact?
Having a bit of a wobble this evening, had some ice on it this afternoon and it seems to have swelled it a bit more, av just gently applied a small amount of pressure and its pissed blood - officially freaked out. Phoned the emergency number and they said see how tonight goes. Fuck my life!
Aye I started this today but see my reply above. Currently worried to do anything going forward!
Ohh,!!! Sorry bro about the excessive swelling,I got the cut about 23days ago and never had any swelling!!! I think the level of swelling depends on the method of CIRCUMCISION you went for!!! Me I did a dorsal slit, some did prepex and others zsr,,, but whichever it was, you'll be fine, just take your antibiotics to prevent infection and some NSAIDS to decrease the swelling!
