I am wondering if flaccid penis size will affect surgery or circumcision result.
I have been diagnosed with phimosis and will be having a circumcision done in about 2 months time.
The old saying "grower not a shower" is very true with me. When flaccid my penis is barely an inch long, but when erect is almost 6, so there is a very large difference between my flaccid and erect size.
I am just wondering if this will affect the circumcision in anyway because when flaccid, the glans makes up more than half the visible length. I might be overthinking it but I'm just concerned that because of the small size I show, the cut may be placed too high on the penis.
Does anyone else have experience with this, or know if it is ok and I am just overthinking it.
Thanks

Don’t worry at all! We are very similar with each other lol! Everything will be fine as size won’t effect how the surgery goes. After wards your penis might appear less bulkier but that’s not always the case. I’m not fully healed yet, but mine appears bigger than what it used to be when flaccid and as of erect I don’t know yet because it takes months for it to reach the desired size. Cheers!
Usually stuff like this can be best assessed by your doc and so asking him would be best . In my opinion though, the foreskin contributes to very less of the length so getting it removed will have a difference but it is usually small . I don't think there is anything to worry but best to get it cleared during your next visit . All the best !
Most of the time, with the level of anxiety guys have when getting circumcized, will always have the most flaccid state when already faced with the cutting tools. The doctor will cut based on how much skin is covering the flaccid penis head.
I myself is a grower, going from an inch flaccid to a six full erect. The problem i had after circumcision is that with full healing, my skin seems to dig my shaft inwards, making it look shorter. So now I'm doing stretches, pulling the head of my penis in its most flaccid state, 30 seconds x 5 repetitions upwards, downwards, straightfoward, to the left, then to the right. Everyday.
Don't worry man, I also have a bit difference between my flaccid and erect size. I was also worried about that, but seems fine now (16 days post circumcision).
I am not a doctor but I have read a lot...
More than likely, given your size difference from flaccid to hard, you will be given a rather loose circumcision. The doctor may only cut off the tip and most of the overhang. Your results when flaccid may not look like you were circumcised till you are erect. Maybe the excess skin will bunch up behind the glans or could go past the corona and to the tip. In either event while sitting you most likely will have full coverage.
Went through my circ 9 days ago. Like you I also am a grower, my Dr. was very thorough in measuring to make sure to leave enough skin to allow full erections, I had a full on erection last night and my Dr. did very well, there is plenty of skin to cover the erection without too much pulling, it’s even got a couple millimeters extra skin, so my shaft skin can actually glide a bit, overall I’m very pleased with my results both physically and cosmetically. Recovery has been smooth so far, I’ve followed all my Dr. instructions and went to my first post op two days ago, Dr. was very pleased at my progress.
Edit. Even though I have more skin than most guys it doesn’t look like I’m uncut, there is just a little extra skin that is at the base of my head. But my glans has zero coverage. It’s about a medium cut with very little loose skin. I though I wanted a high and tight, but looking at the recovery photos and seeing my own results I am glad I listened to my Dr.
I am a grower. Currently I am about an inch when flaccid and about 4 inches when I am erect. After circumcision, the foreskin basically works as if it is accordion bellows. In wrinkles and folds up when not in use, but fully extends when erect. No pain. Just like your arm pits.
My first 6 weeks after the circumcision I was panicking over this, but now that I see the swelling is going down, things are looking pretty good. I am on week 9 now, and as swelling goes down, what is left of my foreskin the and frenulum is taking shape.
Don't worry if you lose some length at first. It comes back. The body has to recover.
Hi I’m facing the possibility that I may need to be circumcised due to reassuring balanitis . I too have a small flaccid penis but get a 5.5” erection. Is your penis buried in a fat pad? Mine is in a fat pad but does come out. When soft does your foreskin come over the head or just bunch up behind it? When hard is it tight or do you still have movement? I’m scared that if i get circumcised they will remove enough skin to keep my head uncovered ( to prevent balanitis) but I won’t have enough left to get a full erection.
Yes. my penis base is buried in a fat pad. If I lost 35 pounds, my penis would at least be 5" erect. When I press the fat down, my penis is longer.
So, when I got circumcised, I was worried about that too. I learned that the top part of your foreskin above the glans is more like a hood to a coat. When removed, it doesn't affect the functio nof the rest of the coat. Your foreskin around your shaft has inner foreskin and outer foreskin. The circumcision will mainly focus on cutting your outer foreskin.
I am starting month 7 and my recovery is going very well. It is still sensitive on the glans and some of the frenulum area, so i wear a jock strap with my underwear to minimize rubbing. I don't wrap my glans anymore with gauze.
You're definitely overthinking here. Whether you're circumcised or not doesn't have any bearing on penis length. If you're a grower before, you'll remain a grower after. With grower cocks the circumciser does have to allow for the disproportionate growth between flacid and erect. It's worth sharing your concern with the surgeon so he had can reassure you.
