Erect Penis appears shorter after circumcision.

6 weeks after the ZSR circumcision, the ring is gone. But there is swelling, only between the ring area and the glans. Flaccid penis length is the same. But when I get an erection now the erect penis appeared shorter than it was before the surgery. When I measured it, to my horror the erect penis is now atleast 1.5 inch shorter than it was before the surgery. Is the penis not gaining its full length because of the aforesaid swelling? Has anyone ever made this observation before? Thank you...

Your penis is not shorter. No length is removed during a circumcision. It may, however, appear to be shorter due to internal swelling. Sometimes it can appear shorter if, when getting erect, some of your penis is hidden within your pubic pad. You can check with your surgeon.

brother, it’s blood flow. The penis is healing. It’s definitely not shorter in length (unless you measured wrong). I felt the same way and 6 months after I laughed at myself. Just trust the process and relax.

I went through the same thing brother. I literally made me depressed. It came back to normal somewhere in between months 4 and 6. It actually got a bith girthier.

You know everybody is lying in the comments below, just as I know too. Yes it is shorter, I also got ZSR and I was also horrified when even erect was shorter.. it took me about 1.5 years to finally come back to the original size, reasons I am not sure but I do know that if you are a grower (not a shower) like I, then your penis thinks it can still bury itself away when its uncomfortable (meaning retract back into your body) but eventually after about 1.5-2 years the glans become kernalized and the penis then believes that the foreskin is protecting the glans and it stays more relaxed outside of body more. It takes anywhere from 1.5-2 years, time passes very fast though. Now my penis is the same size as it used to be, just do not like the scar it has left, despite it being a perfect circle around.. two different colors now lol..

you are right, i am a grower. but i do not notice any burying as such. the base of the penis is clearly visible at all times and is not at all buried in the pubic pad. I always thought that the Swelled Portion around the ring area is where am losing the length, as it wont stretch like rest of the shaft. I did not think of this kernalizing stuff, pretty curious. btw 1.5 years is a long time to keep telling myself that everything is fine. thank you anyway..

what about this swelling/edema between the ring area and the glans. right after the ring is gone, there was little reduction in the swelling. and from that point onwards it has stayed the same for 10 days, and not even a miniscule amount of reduction.

10 days is nothing, takes much much longer. Don't worry, as for the penis burying itself, no no, I understand mine was also the same.. even when erect it does not look buried but I mean the penis actually connects from the inner pubic bone and eventually it goes back to normal, but for me it took about 1.5 years. I just seen my erect penis tonight and it was the biggest it has ever been, I was honestly amazed.. but its been 2 years for me, I guess it needs to adjust and adapt to its new body and feel. I am no scientist or nurse, maybe its some kind of inner blood repair its doing. But definitely true what you said, glad somebody can relate with me. Thought I was the only one lol. Weather and temperature can also have a lot to do with size believe it or not, regardless of erect or not too. I live in tropics so I have seen my size change in the same environment every day for 2 years

I was horrified when I lost length after circumcision. Yes I know its sad but I did a lot of measuring. Took ages to get back to my 7 inches, maybe 2years
