I recently had a circumsision because I had phimosis and the doc said some stitches should fall of with in the first weeks or so and none have fell out for me and it's the 11th day should I be worried they are dissovable stitches but there is like something stuck with the stitches and I'm wondering if that could be the reason there not falling out when did everyone else stitches start falling out these are dissovable stitches
Thankyou

I am on my 12th day and had the op for the same reason. My surgeon advised that the stitches should be dissolved between 2-4 weeks (might have a couple in week 4). I wouldn’t expect to see dissolving just yet, assuming they are the same stitches. Mine hasn’t started yet either.
Surgeons sometimes seem to be a bit optimistic with their estimates of how long absorbable stitches take to drop off. I was similarly told it would take a couple of weeks but in reality they fell off between three and five weeks. According to others on this forum, that seems to be the usual and more realistic timescale. Be patient, don’t listen to the fear mongers urging you to remove them early for spurious reasons.
